      There's something so magically anticipatory about lifting the spoon and preparing to crack that toffee topping. Then crack... then the sight of the beautiful smooth brulee underneath, then scooping a spoonful of brullee and toffee..... Heaven.

      Mr Rags has a small blowtorch affair he uses at work. I guess I could ask him to bring it home whenever I feel the urge to make creme brulee. .... Y'know, I've never made it.

                At an AA meet today. Ya sure get yer cross section of folk. All ages. From yer toff's, yer 'little old ladies/men', yer ex-bank robbers, to yer folk just out of a 6 day de-tox or 3 mth. re-hab this morning.

                Humbling is what it is. And empowering.

                  Tawny I'm just a bit inspired...have dusted off the torch...and since the girls are working overtime brulee could be on the menu...any spesh recipes on hand would be appreciated...

                    Look, I don't know if anyone needs any more inspiration not to drink....but if you look at 'Insight' on SBS tonight about alcohol and violence....that should do it for you.....
                    And on that note....I'm out of here.....re-inspired again......:l Sorry....

                      Very interesting Bridge, caught the tail end and will watch the re run tomorrow. Lots of things we've been discussing with our boys lately and much to think on, so dont be sorry...going to head to bed too...nothing good happens after midnight as my mum used to say...

                          Heeelllllooooo lovelies,

                          I've been hugging all over the boards this morning and couldn't wait to get here to hug you lot!!!

                          It is interesting to note that lots of people now and recently are considering modding, or have racked up a lot of AF days and are now wondering if they should have a sip - or 2.... I wish them all the best in their decisions - either way. I'm approaching (17 days to go) a whole year AF after my relapse. I'd been sober for a loooooong time. I'm pretty chuffed gotta say!!! NOTHING beats this life. Waking up feeling fine, or not fine for whatever reason besides AL. Having the choice about doing WHATEVER I want to do WHENEVER I want to. I could go on, but I won't. I'm really am very grateful for all the support I have been afforded here. Hands together, head bowing....... THANKS!!!

                          I've been so busy at work I haven't had time to post much but have been checking in regularly.

                          So, I see that Tawny is about to be listed on the bush fire hazard site. A photo (with blow torch in hand) on every second tree/telegraph pole, in whatever postcode is appropriate!

                          Little Leon does get cuter and cuter. How that is possible, I'll never know.

                          Rags has seen the light and now has holes in her roof to prove it!

                          Missy, we are looking for a new place now too. I find it extremely stressful but FH is having the time of his life. I've sorted, packed and stored most of my stuff ready for the move but he hasn't even started and has the most 'crap' to go through. That won't be fun - for him!!! We are moving from an apartment to a house which will be heaven. I moved from a house to his apartment but just don't ike apartment living. And, we have so much stuff between us........... What will be, will be.

                          Just finished a major exam period here at the command post. Two weeks of hard work now behind us all. My staff are just fab so it went fairly smoothly. I'll congratulate them this Friday morning tea with a cake or two. Yes, home made! Will do my midnight pie and one other.

                          I hope everyone has a beautiful day.

                          Hugs to everyone who comes by. The list is long these days so consider every one of you hugged and loved!
