I poured a glass of wine...

And then I poured the entire thing down the drain...along with the rest of the bottle I was talking about earlier.
I really planned on drinking...but I can't keep doing this. I just need to get past day 1. One day at a time.
It created some big anxiety...but I will splurge on some pasta and have a bath before going to bed earlier today.

I hope everyone else is having a nice and sober evening.

    Bri.

      Bri,

Sorry to hear that, yes it may take time but it is possible !!
One day at a time so why worry what happened yesterday think about today , at the moments that's all.

Winners say it may be difficult but it is possible and losers say it may be possible but it is too difficult !!

      You can do !!

Thanks Dixon and Nora - you guys are right...still hanging in there. Tired already from all the emotional back & fourth I've been doing in my head. Sheesh!

Time for some hot tea and a hot bath.

I am hanging in there -- although there is still a half bottle of wine left in the fridge...my addictive voice is playing games with me, trying to convince me to just have some....the rest of the bottle because then I can start over again - real this time...apparently. If that even makes sense.
This is from your earlier post today. Good for you tellin your addictive voice where ta shove it!... I love your ambition, your I can attitude!.... Yeah it makes sense all right. Cause the little fecker comes & visits me & a whole lot of other peeps to. But, ya know what, we are bigger & stronger then it! Yee Haw

You will get pass day one! You will get pass day two. You will be racking up those AF days, hun!... Plan on being sober. Reasonably happy & content to! :goodjob:

                Daisy,
I have found that we can't escape from the reality
So felt better to stick on it giving up all the fake sense of so
                called happiness.

                      Good job Bri!

The wine was going down the drain anyway, but you saved your liver the trouble of processing it! I hope you enjoyed your tea and a nice bath. Hang in there, you can do this!

Congrats on doing the right thing Dixon! Down the sink is where poison belongs! Just take it ODAAT and learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
