Don't look back & call them lost years. You are where you are now and you CAN do something. As Mama Bear says - volunteer work is always there .Go to the Library to start. Molls will tell us more - but I believe that is where you can find out about volunteer work.
You won't get paid - but you will find something you love. What about working in a Charity Shop ? My mam is 82 and still works in one & LOVES it.
Once you get out there other things are sure to happen.
My SIL was out of work & went to the Zoo to work as a volunteer - a full -time job came up after a while & she slotted right in.

Don't hesitate - get your clobber on & go tomorrow !

You know why little people are great. I heard that they are still connected to 'source', God or whatever you want to call it.
It's only after a few years with us that they get all their hang-ups and start to forget WHO they are and become like the rest of us.

oh aye satz i was a right git on the drink a right jekel and hyde character, shouting nd carrying me self on, leaving mrs pinky on her own all the time nd i cheated on her twice, she knows about it all. and said to me u never done all that when u were ever sober, u have a drink problem nd u know she was bang on, i think i already knew that but she just made me stare it right in the face

aye i do , AA can be interpratated that way they encourage you to get back to the source, thats my view on it

I like the idea. But life does get at us....:upset:
But it does happen to everyone. Just some of us are different the way we handle things? I will not even attempt to give any wise advice as I am a work in progress.
But with all the shite life has thrown at me-sober is better. Al just numbs things out for a bit-and all the problems will still be there waiting.

Chicken curry on the menu tonight. With sticky white rice. This recipe calls for vinegar & apricot jam, amongst other things. Tastes fantastic, though.
