    The dilemma of co-morbidity

    Very interesting!

I am still battling my post op insomnia, which I thought was related to coming off the opioids, or the hyper phase of my ADHD, but the PT doctor assured me it was normal from the trauma of suffering a bad fracture and also spending 8 days at Centro Medico, which is a hospital experience that can cause PTSD all by itself! LOL! The opioids I was taking for the first few weeks helped sweep all those boogiemen under the rug, but now they have come back for me at bedtime.

She prescribed me some Klonopin, but it hasn't been any more helpful than the melatonin or Sominex, so I guess I am just going to have to let my neurological system sort itself out on its own, but damn I am so soooooooo tired... and the urge to self-medicate with a couple of nightcaps is very strong when my nervous system is feeling like an untied balloon WHIZZING around the room.

I hope the whizzing settles down soon, insomnia makes it so much worse doesn't it - kind of hard to explain feeling sleepy and feeling whizzy at the same time. I really hope you get some good quality sleep soon. Cashy xx
