    Hi Dix,

    Your diet sounds very healthy to me, just make sure you are eating enough protein. Fish or chicken breast are healthy, or if you are vegetarian/vegan, quinoa, lentils, tofu.

      How are you feeling today ?

      Dixon, I agree with Pixie; you need to make sure you are taking enough calories in. Are you exercising at all? If so, you will find room to eat a little more. Exercise also boosts your energy levels. And when you are tired, at least you know it is for the right reason.

        Thanks Pixie and Daisy,

        I think I take plenty of protein because I eat almonds,peanuts,peas,sweet corns,chicken,cashew and other nuts .I am worried if any large amount of protein intake cause weight gain ?
        Worry,worry and worry for nothing !!

            How are you feeling today ?

            Today,

            I am good in mood and really in gratitude mood.
            I am hoping it will get settled to average and also sure it will take time cause I have abused my brain for 25 years in total.
            -The first 5 years, is as a casual drinker.
            -the 2nd 10 years, as a binge and most of the nights.
            -Third 10 years , every days and even in the morning , whenever I got a bit of time.Drank but very quickly and went to disco,any night life,casino , paid money for nothing so brutally damaged all the things health,family relationship,isolated myself from most of the friends who didn't drink.
            Now ,being 4 months sober I have been able to handle my ups and downs and can feel good most of the time now.
            How about you bro and sis ?

                How are you feeling today ?

                Feel ok ish, had a weekend of cravings and drink thoughts.

                Not going back to it, ever, so it was case of just riding out the thoughts and as per normal they did pass.

                The thought of relapsing and going back to day 1 and then trying all over again if I ever did, could be out there for a few more wasted years before i ever got back into a real proper quit mode, this is what keeps me sober.

                Plus I love sobriety and the person I am becoming .

                  Hi Daisy and pixie,

                  Yea , I do some indoor exercises like active meditation,yoga and jogging !.And include some fish ,chicken and nuts in my routine food.
                  I shed out almost 8 kg in 4 and half months ,its giving me a lot of positive rewards.I feel myself fit and healthy.
                  I am now quite aware with the dietary and enjoying to find the stuff which are quite friendly for health.I usually prepare my foods on my taste !! .I don't need any recipes .
                  Its quite fun for me at the moment !

                    Every-things here in the world are changing ! So it is normal that thoughts come in and also virtually true that they will go away.Being a sober what we can do is just scan them for doing nothing or simply we do not stop, suppress or judge them.This is the way I believe ,we will defeat any bad in our life. Suppressing something simply means creating a problem and expecting a opposite response or say resistance.

                      How are you feeling today ?

                      Hi,
                      My mind always dwells on how should I go with family break down .I made a family with a dream of making my kids a rocking star . Now, I have to live alone and hardly preserving my job due to lack of concentration.
                      I have got final warning from my manager , Its just because of poor memory and concentration and not because of my negligence to the job.I hardly can understand at once when people ask information and I have to ask them to say again and again ...which is really embarrassing to them.
                      Are there any organisation in the UK which can deal this issues with my employer ?

                        How are you feeling today ?

                        Feeling like I don't give a "flyin' f*%#", or maybe a "rat's ass" is nicer. Tired, grumpy today...need to get outta my head to get my Pollyanna attitude back. Getting weighed down with room parent crap. Too many chiefs I tell ya! The temps are supposed to be over 100 all week here. grrrr

                        I'm back to this one. This thread jumped out at me because I go to an outpatient aftercare program that I will be at for a total of one year. We go around in a circle and have to share "two feeling words". I may be jaded, but I'm getting tired of "happy and grateful", "blessed and grateful", etc... No, really, I use those ones too when I don't want to be called on to share what's wrong. Sometimes I want to say the above. Sometimes I say "adequate" just to change it up. Not everyday is great in sobriety, but I think it is important to recognize your feelings and learn how to act on them, or really remedy them.

                          Did some temp work in a hospice. Feel very humbled by the attitude's and acceptance of terminally ill people who have little control over their lives. We do have control, I feel so lucky and at peace with myself today. What a great thread.

                            Oh how I miss that kind of work, Paula. I remember how rewarding and humbling it is to care for the terminally ill, especially witnessing acceptance and peace first hand. Great wake up call for me as yesterday I was in a bit of a self pity mode. Today, feeling lighter. Grateful I get to bake cakes for a large speaker mtg tonight. Good stuff!

                                Everything is perfect but low self esteem is always getting behind me.I think I am over ambitious !!
