So I post here.
My mom, who I have put in an "assisted living" facility for "memory care" patients, which means jail, no matter how you put it, but she needs it and fights it. sigh. Has had a UTI or some other issue affecting her for a few days. She told the nurses I was trying to poison her and she saw a man in her bathroom at night that threatened her. sigh, sigh.
I have been taking care of that and then my husband called me last night and said he cannot pee and he has horrific pain.
I am not even going beyond there. Geez
I have no cute icons to go with this. I have had 3 hours of sleep within the last few days and I am exhausted.
However, the ones suffering, ie my mom and my husband are the ones that count.
I just follow them around.
I had to post somewhere.
Mom has dementia and hubby is a man. Need I say more...
Love,
Cindi
One thing lept out at me.....Folks with UTIs can often have accompanying confusion. It's quite hard to work out the connection sometimes, but I've seen astounding improvements when UTIs are treated....
Mind you I am not equating this to dementia as such which is a seperate and VERY trying disease for everyone concerned.....
I really feel for you Cindi....
