Seriously the retail therapy has got to stop...

Picked up two of the new Penguin series of cookbooks today - I bought Stephanie Alexander and Maggie Beer...there is a set of six....thing is I can see me buying a George, Gary and Kylie but the sixth is Matt Moran....he's like the Aldi frypan I wasnt sure I should buy and now I have it, it just sits - looking at me - doing nothing....apart from being part of a set...

I've declared a moratorium on the cookbooks for the time being. I.do.not.need.another.one.
I don't deserve cookbooks.
I totally fusked a potentially gorgeous lunch today.
T'was going to be pork fillet with caramelised apple with a yummy chook stock/quince paste/seeded mustard reduction sauce with accompanying steamed baby carrots and broccolini. Seared the pork and put it in the oven for an extra 10 mins. Took a phone call from little brother who wanted to tell me all about his fabbo 3-week European holiday. An hour and ten minutes later, my beautifully seared pork fillets looked like fusking fried dim sims.

To the chook bin they went.
