Happy Birthday, Sunny and Happy First Day of Spring! And it couldn't be more beautiful.

Just makes you want to jump out of your skin with joy.

Spent last night at some friends' place and enjoyed a very rare treat ... a bath!

Techie, did you rest the finished dish for 8 minutes on a vented mandral facing west before serving?

Happy birthday Sunny! Hope you had a bonza day mate.

Well, there's a hoon blitz in Melbourne at the moment, so i'd better skadaddle.

              Evening all.
The boy and I have just enjoyed a matinee session of movies including 'Hunger Games'.
              Very different, isn't it?
Quiet again in the drawer tonight. Love the plummage Froglette.
Round 2 of Lemon Curd this afternoon.
Again, have run out of books to read. Must score a Kindle soon.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Birthday was great. Lots of sushi. Thanks for all the love.

Bridge, I love my kindle. You can have heaps of books on it which is great when you finish a book.

Its a Byron bay kind of day today. Have a good one everyone

Morning undies! It is early morning and light! And the birds woke me up ..... I love being woken up by birds and the azaleas in my front garden have heaps of buds that are ready to burst into flower ....... Dog i love spring!

Happy birthday for yesterday Sunny - sounds like you had a great one :lI was very touched by your comment about you and Mr Sunny touching feet before you go to sleep. We do that too, even when we are grumpy with each other. It is very reassuring.

Orf to the pool! Have a great day everyone!

Morning Sunny, Missy, and all hoons to follow,

Loving the Paralympics. ABC 2 have been covering it here this weekend. Just watched the womens 400 mtr's freestyle. Simmonds from UK won by a handslength. She had a much, much shorter arm length and stroke than her competitors, but she powered through to win. What a great example of persistence. I'm pumped! Pumped i tell's ya. Also caught a womens butterfly event the other day. A woman with one arm, competing against the others who all had both. I don't know how that's an even race, but she came 3rd with incredible leg power. Our basketball teams are rocking it. Evan O'Hanlon just won the 100 mtrs sprint. All contestants in this race appeared as able bodied. I'd be interested to know Evan's disability and how he has worked with it over the years to achieve such a fantastic result. Womens 100 mtr sprint. Russian sheila won, and i think an Aussie (Issacs?) placed 2nd or 3rd.

Have a safe and sober day Roo's.

I think I'm in Sunny. I'm sick of running out of books all the time. But last night I discovered a nice ereader collection at the local library for free. I couldn't believe it! But then I'm slow on the uptake.

But tell me, which Kindle do you have?

                            Good Morning Oh sober ones!

Chiko is absolutely amazing Mr G! And as for our disabled peers and their acheivements, don't get me started about the human spirit.

We have the most superb Spring day on our hands here. But I've just realised froglette didn't ring in spring for us this year

Actually Missy, do you have an ereader too? I'd love some suggestions.

I know, Bridge - I didn't want to jinx things but can also confirm that, despite a heavy frost, it's turning into an absolute stunner ... so:

Bridge - I'm one of those boring people that actually loves having a book in thier hands I've got a couple of books on my i-pad that I read when I am desperate, but I just cant quite enjoy it as much. But Mr B has done a review recently for some friends - do you want suggestions for hardware or software??

Nicey, I think you should re-post your news on the September thread :-) But big congrats to you !!!
