Well, just back from the......G. MCG, get it? The ground looks fantastic, if a little moist. The players will be using the long stops in the boot today, and that's just the band. The stage looks sensational, and the crew are pumped, err, in a way that road crews get pumped if ya know what i mean. I've checked the tuning of the instruments back stage, spare strings at the ready, and humidifier on. There were some large hydatids frollicking near the front of stage monitors, but a spray or 2 of glen 20 soon discouraged them. The crew had Lionel Ritchie and Meatloaf blaring through the P.A. system for sound check which gave the whole morning that crazy, celebratory carnival atmosphere.
I'm pumped. Go Swans!
I'm sure Bridgy will be glued to the screen for the game this arvo. :H
