If I could go to rehab, I would in a heartbeat!! Time for ME, to work on ME....
Reccie, love...is that even an option for you? and PLEASE know I say that with love....do not mean to offend
Not at this stage mama. I would find it very difficult to go to rehab. It would only be an option as a very very last resort when I finally knew I was beaten and I'm not there yet. And don't worry, I would never take offence....I know how you intended it.

            Hello Army!!

Mrs. A - I sure hope your doctor gets to the root of your problems soon and that your health improves greatly. It must be scary to hear about renal problems. Sending out positive vibes to you and have some :huggy's as well. Please keep us posted on how things are going with you.

Good to see Spuddles back in the barracks. Spuds, if you're still around, why not come hang out with us for a while. As for the moderating, for me and most of us here, it is simply impossible. Better to kick AL's sorry ass to the curb and get on with things. It may be scary but it will be the best decision you ever made, especially as you're diabetic and really putting your health at extreme risk every time you have a drink. All said with great caring and again, it's good to see you back.

Reccie - what Mollers said. And if rehab is an option for you, maybe it's time to seriously consider it. If not, then best of luck with cutting down. You did so well the beginning of the year - I hope you can get yourself back into that mindset again. Perhaps your new course will give you the inspiration you need to start again. I took a very quick look at the latest pictures you posted and will go take a good look after I finish this post.

Mama - glad you finally got some relief with that ointment.

Pinky - the exercises seem to be working for you -:goodjob:

Tipster - wot you so tired from??

Molly, my sister needed to have some dental work done and she estimated that she could fly over here, get the work done by my dentist who is fab but very reasonably priced and fly back and actually save money. A single-root root canal costs about 1200 dollars in her area. The last time she had one done, it was by a dentist who specializes in root canals and when it was over, he put in a temporary filling and told her to go to another dentist for a permanent filling as he doesn't "do" fillings. Had to pay extra to have the perm filling put in. I had a root canal done a few months ago and it cost me 140 euro plus 40 euro to have a small pin put in and build up the base that a crown will be attached to. Crowns are 140 euro each and fillings 40 euro. My old dentist quoted me 250 each for crowns several years ago and he also told me that he could attach a bridge to a back tooth that had no bone support at the root level. This dentist I have now told me that because of the lack of bone support, the tooth would start to lean sideways and within a year, the bridge and the tooth would be useless. And there I was about to pay 1000 euro for the bridge. Oh, and the other dentist is a guy who we socialized a lot with when we first moved here and he was also our dentist then. Fecker.

:wavin: to anyone else who might be around now or later.

              X-post Reccie.

No, you're not beaten yet as long as you recognize that you want to start cutting back. At some point something will click and you'll know the time has come to get back on track.

Off to take a better look at what Piglet's been up to........

                    Evening all,

Another hour long natter with me Aunt. Mr JC can't understand how we can speak for that long when we only spoke yesterday. He's just such a man.

If you ever choose re-hab, Reccy. I know of a cracking one. Been seeing a lot of success recently.

At the mo though (ooh look that rhymes) have a look what worked back at the beginning of the year and do some tweaking and become a Pandaman with a plan.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Well it was a bit bouffant when she'd finished this morning. So had to do a bit of damping down, but all grey nicely hidden for another 5 weeks or so.

I went into work for a bit after that just so they'd know I was still alive.

Evening Stirls. Yeah - dental work here is MENTAL. That's an amazing package I got today tho. Lot's of peeps in Ireland go to Bulgaria and Belgium and NornIron to get stuff done - but when you factor in the travel part - it isn't always such a bargain. But a crown alone can cost nearly as much as all the work I'm getting done in parts of Dublin. This chap in the Brig. is known as one of the cheapest - and best - in these parts - lucky for me he's literally down the road!
Well then, he should do a great job and you'll be delighted with yer new knashers.

Gotta go walk the dogger. A little earlier tonight but I've got to get up at 6 a.m. :upset:

So am going to wish youz all...

Sorry to bugger off like this but at my new senior age, I need my beauty sleep.:H

Yep first time back. I was as nervous as a first day back at school, but it was grand.

The hairdresser does tend to get carried away blowing drying.

                                Nighty night Stirls,

There's a cracking wee job in the paper tonight working in a farm shop. Just part-time and keeping me fingers crossed it's something I can do.

One or 2 others I'm going to send me CV in for. Just for practice but you never know.
