    Army Thread Friday 7th September

    Good morning, folksies

POETS day has arrived, and not a moment too soon. Things are really busy at work at the moment, and highly emotional at home Mom is leaving tomorrow morning to go and pack up her stuff. We only booked a one-way ticket for now - not sure how long it'll take to wrap up everything and say goodbye to all her friends / family. I now need to get an architect in and submit building plans to the municipality. We've decided to convert the flatlet that is already there into a proper granny flat. That way, she's not spending as much and will be able to afford full-time care when the time comes.

    Have a happy Friday, everyone!
    I'll do whatever it takes

Good morning Foxy, Expattie & Marioman

Good luck on all the chores, Foxy. I have pool duty looming this weekend - need ot get it in shape for summer.

I'm not so sure that the solution is ideal, Expattie - I would have preferred Mum to be around people of her own age. She'll just have to find out what kinds of activities / clubs etc she can join up with in our vicinity. I don't want her to sit around all day waiting for the cubs to get back from school and us from work.

          You in work today, Mario?

Mario Sorry I did not see you there! I have been reading some of your inspirational posts I particularly liked the Guiness one. First drink I had aged 3 on the Irish ferry to Dublin and hated it. I wish I had remembered that for future reference

Good morning Tipperooo, Foxyloxy, Expatty, My Mate Mario, Mollynomates , Our whizzy

Tips, hun, you don't need an architect. I can do it. Lewk here's one of my house designs.

Being serious for a minute, Tips. It may not be ideal but it's a fantastic compromise.

And there ya Mrs A. :l

Molls, this wasn't even the CV. This was just asking for an application form.:H

Took me 3 hours to hit send. I'll be a basket case when I have to send the form back in.

Aww Molls, I've just filled up. I'll stick your name down for a reference.

I just get a bit nervy about formal qualifications. Although why they need to know 40 years on is beyond me.

Hello there Satz. I used PC worls which are part of Currys and they were great. Tell them your budget before you start and stick to it.

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.
