            Why I am Great!

            Well, let's see.....I am great because I have more strength than I ever imagined. 20 months AF and still going strong!! There was a time when I didn't think I could do this without going to rehab or some such. With the help of this place....I am finding success! Being sober is my proudest accomplishment. Byrdie

              Why I am Great!

              I have to admit I thought this thread was kind of nutty when I first read it but I'm starting to get it now.
              I'm great because I'm starting to see how great the people, places, and things around me are now that I'm not getting smashed every night. Those same people, places, and things used to annoy the hell out of me when I was in the arms of the enemy alcohol. Life can be pretty damn great sans AL.
              2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

                          I think we're all pretty darn great!

                          Here's why I am great:

                          No alcohol for 266 days.
                          No cigarettes for 22 days.

                          And oh yeah, I make the best mashed potatoes you've ever had in your life. So there.

                              Love the sarcasm on here! We don't have to take ourselves overly serious here. This is you feeling good about yourself. We felt bad enough for far to long and let AL rule our lives. Let's keep this rolling. Keep saying why you are great today. I am great today because I didn't drink. I am also great today because I didn't go off on someone at work when I really wanted to. Thanks scottishman...byrdie....K9...you are all soo great!

                                FD...I should start my own thread...."I'm not so great today because..." I just wanted to strangle a customer today....that's not good. However he DOES deserve it. I typed out a really pointed note to him...sat on it for an hour, then deleted it. Glad I did. I just haven't responded to him at all. He is an ass and there's nothing I can do about that. Maybe I am great today because I didn't smart off to an asshole customer! Yes, let's go with that. Hugs to all!! B
