Why I am Great!
I'm great cause I fixed my hubs 16' military pine pole today. Re-knotting, tieing, anchoring, & climbing another tree, all while having a great big headache. Keeping his tarp flying above our deck, that he's going to sand in preparation of staining. He likes to play boy scout, military around our property. He's Sergeant Major & I'm Chief Closing Officer. Equally greats. I negotiated & won a financial battle & recouped our money back today. This makes me great.
I'm also great that I haven't shot him or anybody else to death with an arsenal of weapons that are under high security at this time. I've learned & am still learning that God's creations belong to him & not me. Keeping my hands inside the cart, making me great. But, than again, I'm human & I have some grenades that I may blow up if I don't throw them somewhere & stand up for what is right.
I'm great that I'm choosing to practice some recovery behaviors that fall into the Spiritual Recovery arena. Yet, I like sarcasm too. Now that I feel Narcissistic, which I'm being. I'm hoping I will get a nice shiny plaque, or at least a sarcasm one from you FD. It's still better than being a pompous :moon: I'm not a true narcissistic person, as I don't lack empathy for people & I'm not a selfish pompous :moon: This makes me great.
I'm great as I don't succumb to the power of alcohol anymore!!!! I succumb to my own power & when I'm weak, I have a power outside of myself that is so omnipotent & powerful, I have nothing to fear!!!.. I'm being watched over & loved! :h
I'm also going to relax, in a nice warm bath & practice self love, self care, with lavender & tea tree oils, taking all my cares away. All without drinking any poison. A warm cup of tea will bring good health & healing. Practicing physical, mental & emotional sobriety. Yep, I'm great!.... Oh & I planned ahead & have great marinated dijon, secret spiced, boneless chicken breasts & a cauliflower salad leftover. Who knows I might even make some oatmeal raisin cookies. :h

I love how everyone is being open and honest! Sarcasm is allowed here. I actually encourage it. LOL! I'm great today because we can just be buds here. And sober friends are the best kind of friends. We learned the hard way our drinking buddies were not real friends and the drama and mistakes that come from life threw the bottle. Let's keep giving ourselves kudos and keep believing in eachother. :goodjob:Started living again 2/7/2015

I protected my son today against a lot of asshole school administration. I feel pretty proud of that...and I think he was proud of me too.
Up late tonight cause my mind is still whirling somewhat. time to sleep though. That would be great too.

Why I am Great!
FD, this has turned into a nice and fun thread. I'm not quite comfortable living up to greatness, but I have achieved some nice accomplishments, including writing gardening articles. I started a weekly column in a newspaper this spring, and this weekend I wrote my first gardening feature, with photos. I can't wait to see it in print. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

I let a good friend know how much I appreciate everything she has done for me and how much I value her friendship. I think I made her feel good today and that makes me feel great!2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

Before heading off the bed and thank you everyone for giving this thread a chance. I appreciate it a lot. I am great today that at work even when I was feeling annoyed with someone I took a step back and stayed being nice and by the end of the day I was better for not blowing up. Keep it going my friends. You are great for taking on everyday and wanting to be sober that makes you great to me. Stay strong my friendsStarted living again 2/7/2015

Why I am Great!
I washed the windows yesterday...late in the afternoon while the sun was still shining thru them. It took me several tries as the sun is the biggest critic of a window washer. They were sparkling by the time I finished...I was very proud, they were pretty nasty. I settled in for the evening and then it rained. :upset: Well at least I had a few moments of greatness! They all add up! Hope everyone has a stellar week, and that we each get a chance to elevate someone else up when they might be having a rough patch. Hugs to all, B
