I am 30, yes 30! days smoke free today! I am now in unchartered territory. I have always been enslaved to something, be it alcohol or cigarettes...now I'm free and don't know what to do with myself, other than tell myself how great I am! LOL

Mick, what a story!!! It's amazing what you do in an emergency situation...wow, that is some scary stuff...it just happens in an instant. I pray someone like you would be on site if the same happened to me!

I won't be able to say it enough but you all are great. I am great today because I was able to talk honestly with a friend. That makes me great today. I love you guys soo much. Life has it's ups and downs but I have my friends there with me. Let's enjoy the ride.

I am greaet today because I have my whole weekend planned around my children (husband going away hunting) and I am feeling really good about it. Bottles will be empty just in time, and we are going to have FUN FUN FUN!

What are you going to do Rainy? And yes, you ARE great for making a plan...you and your kids will have a blast.

When I first got sober, we overdosed on rental movies, pizza and popcorn (ok, and candy)....but it got me through the evenings!!

Heading to bed! I very appreciate everyone who takes the time to post here. Long days and short nights wear a person out. But it's better than drinking. Which gives me this for today. I am great because I love living again. Thanks K9 mamabear and rainy!

What exceedingly heroic greatness from Mick. Sunbeam having published garden articles. K9 has over 30 days no ciggies. Rainy is new & so positive, has a good plan in place. Daisy, supportive, creative. Allswell & Mama , yep ~ yep... Knowing it's others who help make us great too. FD, you great guy who started this positive thread who made me laugh. It also has given me a little place like home. I can be honest, sarcastic or I feel like whatever when I'm here. I even tried to give this thread another five star vote. Forgot, I'd voted.

I don't feel so great & to be honest I haven't for a little while. Now with my Mom it's adding to it. I have the damn 4 month AF Craving Curse. The only thing that I can think of is that I'm reading my own signature line & believing in HP. I'm sober, I won't cave. But, it hasn't been easy. I may have to call in a favor from the Army & one of it's members to recycle #&$@!(&^%$@%(_+((**$#^% thread. Not yet, I can still smile. I think saying feck ta cleaning the house was a mighty fine idea. This was a grrrt idea to take care of my recovery needs, in a time of need!!!

Aw, Wildflowers, sure aren't you just great for being so thought to everyone else whilst dealing with your own bad day?!!! And even greater for coming here and talking about it instead of giving in?
Go you and take a look in the mirror and see your great self looking right back at ye'; sometimes we need a little reminder of how far we have come.....

Why I am Great!

Wildflowers...you're allowed to have flat spots in your recovery! Hells bells, everybody does...there're a couple of them, one at around 6 months, and another spell at 9...from then on out, there aren't enough o's in smoooooooooooth to describe how much better it gets! It's just a 'right sizing' moment in recovery...(the 'Is that all there is?' Syndrome) I made that up, please don't go publishing it on FaceBook....But it's true, there are lulls. All it took me was a trip down my own post list to see how far I've come to know I don't wanna go backwards any more. I hope your usual perky mood is back in place by tomorrow. I think you are a real example of the path of sobriety. Therefore, you are great! Warm hugs from me....B
