One of my drinking crowd buddies used to always say when he was leaving, "well, this get together is hardly average, so I'm off...." We'd all laugh and slap his back on his way out. I wasn't offended about this until I got sober and thought about what it could have meant...... I then wanted to slap the back of his head - when I left!!

So many things just weren't as much 'fun', or interesting, or deep and meaningful when I was with that crowd once I wasn't juiced...... Go figure!

When i sobered up, I finally figured out that I was a crashing bore anyway, and I'm not saying i'm a bad singer but the pub manager often asked me to do karaoke at closing time

If the the bar manager needs to clear out the bar....just ask me to sing....drunk or sober Sober they would need to pay me though. Hardly think I would make it anywhere near closing time.

I find myself in so many situations thinking.....why in the hell are we even talking about this? Who really cares? And this is not even with drinking people.....once the mind clears....
