Start a fire with glycerine and condies crystals. But it can be tres dangerous. I used to do it to start the big campfire when I wuz a girly giuidey leader. Very impressive.
Otherwise she could do what the natives do in Borneo with a piece of bamboo hollowed out but with the bottom intact then line with your tinder. Then have another piece of bamboo to act like a piston. Bang down on piston and the compression causes heat, the tinder burns and voila!

Sheep shank. First she has to catch a couple of sheep, then take it from there.

Disturbing news.
On my way home from my dental appt. I quickly dropped in to see an acquaintance who is a foster carer.
She asked about the holiday, and I happened to mention that parts of Cambodia are notorious for young girls in prostitution but I hadn't been aware of any soliciting in Siem Reap (but I bet it's there).
She then told me that she was currently caring for a young girl whose father is an Australian who runs a large prostitution ring in Phnom Penh with kids as young as ten. She saw and realised what was going on, somehow got herself to the Australian Embassy over there and sought refuge. She's now in Australia in foster care. She isn't yet 11 years old. The father is apparantly still over there carrying on the business untouched by the law.
There's so much I could say. Mostly I am angry and disgusted.

Well that put my intended post into idle. Just disgusting, sad, and angers me to no end. The poltroons that that continue to exploit these children should be castrated.

My project is being cutover tonight at three facilities overnight. The system transition begins at midnight PST. I may post a few more times.

I just don't get this child prostitution/the attraction to kids thing. I think the Australian government has a responsibility to those children and Cambodia to go in there and get this bloke out to face charges here. Surely the Cambodian government would allow this.

We have to get MUCH more proactive internationally/globally. There's no two ways about that...
