UNDEROOS - Rocktober - Yeah baby!

Me, I'm well on the back nine of life. I just need a new car, stem cells, a new challenge, and a Frog.

    :l
I can cut us a two for one deal on the stem cells and the car.
The challenge will be getting the Frog.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Great reading back. Rags - love the pics!!! I want that dragon fly to come and live at the hacienda!

Rags, I wanted to do the sculpture by the sea walk last weekend but..... Every year I say I'm doing it no matter what, and I'm yet to tell the tale.....

        Nicey

I'll take some pictures for you Nicey. My new camera arrived via Hong Kong and China yesterday, so it will be a good way to learn how to work it.

Yikes, Undies - who inadvertently locked us out of the drawer yesterday?

Mate's wife is still in a coma in the ICU waiting for a suitable liver. He's taken a unit close to the hospital and goes in to see her about four or five times a day. Yesterday morning he went in and some lovely nurse had beautifully plaited the patient's long blonde hair. He said she looked beautiful. Dog bless nurses.

More of the same outdoorsy stuff for me and ***squeal*** I'm expecting a delivery of 12 bales of pea straw.

        X-post, Techie - your pumpkin looks ... erm ... interesting ...
Tawny that is so sad. Just not enough organ donors.
Nurses are very very special people.

Talking of TV. I watched Miniscule last night and was almost in tears. It was so beautiful I turned to Mr Rags and gave him a big hug. I think he was near to tears too.

Oh and if you get this weeks New Scientist magazine, there's a special few articles about death. Very interesting.

Guitarista;1395081 wrote: Rags. This is too easy. The erosion at the base of those temple columns is due to a 'protective' paste applied to the columns around 1155 A.D. This paste was a mixture of yeast, riboflavin, yer vitamin B's, and Polident, which is still known as Phouy Dung dent, in the northern jungles of Cambodia. Of course, rather than being a protective agent, we now see that this mixture is in fact an erosion agent.

But it couldn't erode the majesty.

              Yo!
Mr G wins the prize for the most original answer in the What Eroded the Columns at Angkor Wat.

And this is what he has won....

Now for the real answer....... remember the complex was overgrown with jungle for hundreds of years and there were lots of nice dark places for bats to roost. Yep, it was eroded by guano. 18 inches deep.

                              Morning all,

Hey Rags, thanks again. What a cool prize.

Where would Chris and the boys wear a Shuka bag? What's the go with them? We have a growing African community here in Melbourne, and i wouldn't want to give out the wrong signals or etiquette, e.g. wearing bag on left shoulder instead of right shoulder like 'real' Maasai blokes do? Or is it an orf the hip number? I could maybe use it as a gig bag to carry strings etc.....How cool. I am amazement here Rags. Thankyou.

Well, after my usual perusal of my 2 fave threads, 'Colon irrigation in moderation-go hard or go home?' and 'Introduction to Presbyterian poker', it's the morning session in front of the mirror having a chat, and spotting the odd stray nit.

G'day Techie. Note the word 'chance' in Frogs response. Her subconcious desire slipping out i'm tipping. You're still in the race from what i can see.......

Have a beewdy everyone. Hi Leon! Ooroo.

It's my turn to ask for some special Undie vibes - a liver turned up and she went into surgery half an hour ago. It's going to be a long, long day.
