    running over the neighbors fence

was doing pretty damn good. 6 days AF and even went to a bar with friends and I drank NA beers. then went to a wine drinkers party on friday night and things took a pretty drastic turn. saturday afternoon when I woke up my wife tells me that the neighbors had called and want me to come and help them repair the fence that I apparently ran over after the party! oh dear. not good. I suppose I better take a look at our car for damage too. what a destructive bad habbit this is.

Oh no- poor you. This is such a horrible thing this alcohol. Why does it always start off as fun, then end up being anything else but!!! I have got myself in some terrible scrapes in the past too. I hope your car is ok. B

I hate it when I run over the neighbors fence! Not really, I haven't done that one. But, I can say I once ran my car into the window of a pizzeria! I was going pretty slow, so no injuries to me and the place was closed. The police let me go - still can't believe it! Too many times I have tested fate. hopefullly over it...

I'm glad it was not your neighbor's kid you ran over...At least it wasn't THIS time....

Six days AF is not the time for a "test" run. You need many more weeks.

Your mama wasn't here so I had to say this..

Ouch. Good thing it was just the fence, I agree. Also how hard it must have been to face your neighbors. Glad that you are alright and didn't get hurt. Wake up call maybe??

wake up indeed Beaches. what a moron I am! I fixed the fence today and they were most gracious. I still feel so very stupid but I'm at least glad everyone is ok. I never drive while under the influence so this was a big step in the wrong direction for me, and completely out of character.

Derterminator, just keep trying, If I think about all the times God kept me from serious trouble whie drinking I literally cringe. It will be a reminder everytime you drive by it,but don't beat yourself up over it just use it for positive reinforcement that you won't do that again.

DT - consider it a learning experience. What you did was scary, but you can't beat yourself up about this.
