              you have a battle looming.
My husband drinks daily. But there are some rules
              - you cannot drink at home
              - you cannot drink in front ofd me without my permission'
              - no AL in the house....period....
I would not be where I am today if he did not support me in this.....
Does your hubs have any idea that you are trying to quit??

It's a Friday and it's just another 24 hours. Don't let it de-rail you. There's going to be hundreds of Fridays, Saturdays etc to get through. Don't let this one make you waiver.

Mr JC did 33 days AF when I did my first 30.
He still has his 'boys' night out on a Friday and he was never a big drinker at home even when we used to 'share' a bottle. It was always one drink for him and the rest for me.

I feel a big talk coming on, Quest. If he wants you to keep this quit then he is going to have to meet you at least halfway. If that means no booze in the house then so be it.

Honestly I know that I was Mr JC's biggest drinking buddy and he really missed that in the beginning but he's now got a wife who is conscious most of the time.

I agree with Molls, as usual.
The few times I have "slipped" in the 5 months have been when we were in a drinking enviroment and I did not have a plan.
Hubs calls himself the beer nazi......but that is what I need...and I love him for it. I resented it for a while, but he can drink reasonably and I cannot.
He does have a bottle of bourbon from last weekend. It was tough for about 15 minutes, but I got over it. and it is LOCKED in the liquor cabinet...at my request

JC and molls - totally right in everything you've said !

Only problem is the drinking takes place in the house - nights out don't happen :-(

But - I have a plan ! I'm taking the kids to the Halloween disco at school - and I'm planning to have a Chinese or something nice to eat :-) hopefully that will work ?!?!? Xx

Dawg... These last few posts had me thinking back. Do you know that Mrs. T diddn't know that I had started taking bac and tapering my drinking until I was a few days AF. We were on our way home from work on the day I told her that I was sober and admitted that I was an alcoholic for the 1st time. She started crying almost uncontrollably. And then the talking started.
                                I'll do whatever it takes
