Speaking of Jilly - we've had a lot of sadness here today. Andrew and herself have decided to call it a day. They've been together nigh on 8 years - and as she's only 24 it's all her 'adult' life so far. She's now alone in Canada - well she has a really good friend she's bunking in with at the moment but......... well anyway - needless to say I was hopping on the first flight today or insisting she get on one and come home to mammy - but she is ok. We've just talked for ages on the phone and she'll be ok. He's a lovely lad, but - even tho she's 5 yrs younger than him, she was just so much more grown up than him and was turning into a 'mother' for him instead of a partner and she just grew resentful of that I think.
Joe and I are dead sad for her - and worried cos she's so far away --- but we think now she'll be fine - gawd I just want to hug her and never let go - but....... anyhows - I'm ok, Joe's ok, and she's ok-ish --- so that's it really. We're headed out for a bite to eat then on to Aftercare so if anyones lurking later may have a dip in, but I suspect it'll be straight to bed - bleedin KNACKERED I am!
