8 months!!

Hi everyone! It's hard to believe I forgot this but I hit 8 months on 10/21/12. Thank you K9, mamabear, brydie! I have this great community and the great members for it. The Nest and everyone has taken down and out drunken nobody and just in less than a year I am happy and confident. I feel great about my future. I know there is a life outside of addiction. I am and will be stubborn at times. (K9 knows this all too well...lol) But my life is changing for the better because of the excellent people here. Things that I thought I could never accomplish because I was to preoccupied with drinking are now in sight and happening. For everyone new here it feels overwhelming at first. There is alot of emotions here. Changing a way of life brings out new sides of us we repressed for along time. I am experiencing those same type of emotions. Some of us on this site have realized that we can't moderate. That would be me. I have a great conversation with K9 this past week. We disagreed but we both in our emotion and passion towards a subject were very cordial and understanding towards eachother and in that we have a better friendship I believe. There are great friendships that can be forged here. When I hit my first full year. I have each and everyone of you to thank for it. But I will always be the most thankful to those who were there for me during the toughest first days. THANK YOU K9...mamabear...byride lavande....and if I forgot your name I apologize. Let's beat this demon that is AL TOGETHER!!:h

Thank you! I hope my post wasn't gloating about having 8 months. This has been 8 very trying at times months but for the most part most contend I have felt. I feel my mind changing and body healing. When I first tried to get sober....and I didn't want to. I was forced into it. In rehab I was told that the first year will be the toughest. It's very true. It is. It's not easy. But after 8 months it's getting so much easier I can't even describe it. I am very thankful to the kind people of MWO for this. I am looking forward to hearing everyone's goals and thoughts as we move forward together.
