No yer dafty, eldest grandaughter is 13...omg my mother would have locked me up!!I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

Pressure
Folks need strength from you :
The 'phase' I've been going through apparently is over.
I am now getting subtle pressure from family.
"you Still not drinking" "why" - sister
"come on down pub - you never go anywhere & socialise" - Mr Satz
I feel constantly having to defend mysef , make excuses and make other plans so i don't have to go to these places that even bored me while I drank. In fact I think I drank to kill the boredom
Anyone else get this ?

Satz I really feel for you, my family don't go to the pub, never have, other than one of my brothers who is a drug addict I'm the biggest drinker !! and I thank god I never passed this to my girls. Eldest went to Doncaster races yesterday courtesy of work, top notch meal, champagne and a free bar....she had 1 glass of champagne and 1 glass of wine with her meal , her and her work colleague was more interested in the afternoon tea and came home very content ..now if that was me I'd still be there :HLearn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. Sat you will have to ride this through, after a while they will stop asking you,my family are very big social drinkers and at the start of this journey I got huge pressure to go down to the pub just for the one, sure one won't kill ya they said.nowadays I am lucky to be asked out to anything at ll if alcohol is involved, the family have moved on and left me in there merry wake. Thankfully..its annoying sat but it will pass.

Well Satzuma, me lovely. As for as I can see there's three ways.
Firstly highly recommended by Geordie lasses not necessarily the politest but straight for and to the point is the 'knob off and what the f***'s it got to do with you' method or
Secondly tell them you've done a few months and enjoyed it your carrying on with it.
Or my evil third..........Do you have to drink alcohol when we're out? Is it a problem for you not to?It could be worse, I could be filing.
