Good morning army. Tabbers well done on your new job i hope you will be happier. Ydeah its not just about money its about quality of life and health also. I had enough jobs where i hated going in to work each day so i would take a lower salary to be in a job that i enjoy more if that ever happens gthe way things are in Ireland today. Itsa lovely fresh sunny morning here i'm going to try get out for a walk at some stage and then just cleraning and laundry to do. I need to get some exercise in again but we have a new pool opening neaby the end of this month so that will be good to start swimming and hopefully they will start aqua aerobic classes in the future. 2nd coffee before i get moving i'm still in bed watching globe trekker. Love those travel shows. Have a good monday. :television::cupajoe:

Sure it will have its ups and downs just like any job but it it is important to try and find something that we enjoy doing, dog knows we spend enough of our lives in work. I took the other job because I was desperate for some money coming in but in hindsight that is shortsighted. Still no better off money wise but quality of life is important too.
Tabbs that is the best news I've heard in a long time.
I agree totally on the need to be happy in our work.
Otherwise what is the point? As u say the majority of our life is spent working.
Our Pinky is a case in point. Fighting to do work she truly loves instead of settling for just 'a job' to get money - go Pinky
You will be a different man with this change:h
Have to go 'socialise' today. AB on board - so no danger there

Why were you a cow bag?? Prolly summat else I missed??
I think part of it was having Mr JC at home for 5 days. I could have managed if they were all in a row but he had to go on a course in the middle and that meant he had first day bouncy hollingdayness twice. I could have cheerfully strangled him yesterday.
Ooh and I haven't half had some ciggie cravings. Lollies help btw.
I was fine last night by the came back for me midnight lurk and came to the same conclusion that I am one grateful alcoholic today. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Jacks... Bloody well done on the 25 days! Are you going to try and mod after you do your 30? Hee hee! I doubt you were a cow bag... you prolly just snipped at him once and felt bad for days about it! :l
Tabbers... MEGA CONGRATULATIONS on the new job! You've had a rough trot of it work-wise the last couple of years and if anyone deserves a job they enjoy it is you my friend... :l
I haven't seen what's going on on the boards... wot youz refer to loike... but I can say that I have not been straying far from the Army the last few months. Some could argue that it's selfish to just come here and be part of our thread and not reach out to other people... but the truth is that I'm having to hold myself together and I don't really have enough to go around. And the other part of it is, once I start reading contentious threads I get drawn in despite myself. I have a bit of the Celtic warrior in me... so it's best I don't read the boards sometimes! It just gets me in feckin trouble. I guess I'm just opting for the easy life at the mo... oh well. In any event, I reckon we have a grand group here and I appreciate every last one of youz... )
We have a cold spell (well, cold for us) this week and it's fantastic not having the heat and humidity. Could actually drive with the windows open yesterday... shock horror. But Hurricane Sandy is setting up to pummel New York and the surrounding north eastern states unfortunately. ( They're not as used to hurricanes as we are here in S. Fla. so I'm sure it's going to be chaotic... and extremely scary for them. It's only a category one but it's a massive storm. (
Hamish is turning out to be quite a character. He's only got two speeds... ramming speed and stop! He's like a wee racehorse running around the gaff. He has no fear in him... as bold as brass... and into everything he is. Him and Dougie play together and Dougie has accepted him really well.
Okies... cawfee.......... Have a good day folksies. x
