    UNDEROOS - Support Movember

    tawnyfrog;1414225 wrote: Arvo Missy,

Yep - I think we all know the Espy for one reason or another ...

After months and months of cold stuff, I'm really happy to be getting my summer fitness back. Amazing what a bit of sun on the old bod will do for the spirit. It's really nice to go like the clappers and not wake up sore.

I'm really quite enjoying the rehab process - apparently later today we'll get new words. We've done 's', 'ch' and 'sh'. No more silly Susan Simpson talking shit and chundering after chomping on her salad sandwiches.

The skip has arrived and I'll now go and hurl some metal. If you want to do a serious clean up, hire a skip. It's fun. And you can't go back and retrieve stuff if you change your mind....

    Catch youse after work.
    Stop!!!
Can you sell that metal for your mate? Make them a buck or two...and the metal will be reused....YAY......You just have to phone metal scrap dealers and they come to you....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

been quiet here, I still want to get on the piss most days, do you lot think that is normal?
every fusking day? Its been over 3 years now...still dry but it is a little wearing, i was tempted to to crack the other day when the wife got crashed into and fired on the same week.
might got to an aa meeting soon, only ever went to two way back at the start.
I still get cravings too Aspy. Drives me mad sometimes. AA or another group sounds a great idea. A shitload better than drinking anyway.
Also have a look at the Sugar thread..as in giving up.....and it's link to craving and addiction. Did you go on with the low carb diet??

          OK. Blunnies are off.

Aspy - sorry you're having a rough trot but I absolutely know you won't listen to the Idiot Thought. Yeah, I think it probably is normal and like Bridge says, it can drive you nuts. I was spending sooooo much time constantly thinking about wanting to drink - that I was staring to bore myself.

I reckon, as it's only a mind game, play the game and win. So who (in real life) is the most boring person you know? Somebody you try to avoid at all cost? You'd cross the street rather than have to talk to them because they're so booooring?. Now you've got a name. Let's say it's 'Fred'.

Whenever the Idiot Pissy Thought occurs, mentally yell out and tell Fred to fusk off because he's so fusking booooooring and you can't be bothered listening.

I don't know if that makes sense but for me giving stupid thoughts a 'personality' helped me to visualise them out of my head. Splatt.

Try AA again if you feel it would help - try anything that keeps you in check. You're a Poster Boy Undie. You've not stuffed up since Day 1. Doubt you'll start stuffing up now.

Bridge, Bridge, Bridge ... breathe .... the metal will
                  be reused.

That's eggsackery what I've done BUT as the arse has fallen out of the scrap metal market, I won't be expecting payment. That's one of the ways this young guy makes a living. He's the only scrap dealer here and I'm happy to support his efforts. He won't be taking any cruises to Barbados as a result of my measly haul.

Ahhh.....now I call it Sue....which was the name of an exceedingly annoying controlling manipulative person who used to try anything to get me to drink and make a dick of myself ....so that she could feel just a teensy bit superior....... if you know what I mean......Sue doesn't even get a look in any more......

The Sues and Freds of the woorld will just have to play their sick games elsewhere...

Techie - is your mum enjoying Arizona?

Thanks for asking Tawny. Yes initially, but now she worries about things back east which has become a bit obsessive the past week or so. I think shes a bit homesick. I'm not entirely sure how much her debilitating health is factoring in here. My sister thinks I should be able to fly her home in a few weeks. I'm taking her to the Musical Instrument Museum tomorrow and then shopping for Thanksgiving dinner which I'll cook.

She thought it was so funny that you folks call chickens chooks. I told her you call turkeys tooks. We both laughed ourselves silly !

OK. That's nice. Please don't take her to the snake-infested Library.

AND ... we want pickshas of your Thanksgiving Dinner. We need to know what one of those looks like. Nighters.
