Hiya RC, nice to see you ***waving madly***
Morning Undies,
After a fantastic deep and undisturbed sleep I'm back to normal and rearing to go. More yard clean-up until it gets too hot - expecting 32C today.

Morning Frog and all possums to come,
G'day RC. Good to see you mate. How are you going there?
Maagnificent pics Jonesy. Thanks for sharing. I love yer angel trumpets too baby!
Life is full of beginnings and endings isn't it? The cycle goes round and round. All evident out in the garden. Nothing stays the same. I throb yer nature and yer mother earth style.
'ave a good weekend y'all, and they tell me burning incence keeps away the mozzies?
PS Missy. No, i'm not Jewish, but i've had 2 Jewish gf's over the years, and crikey, they have been great cooks, not to mention top chicks. I was sharing a house in Sydneys eastern burb's with a lass whose mum had been in concentration camps in WW2. Her mum (and dad) were among the sweetest, most generous folk i have ever met. And the little packages of home cooked tucker from the mum left in the fridge for me whenever she'd visit, ensured i was putty in her hands! :h
Ooroo.

Hello Frog, Bridge, and G. Love the pics Bridge. Well did I sleep late this morning. Too much took yesterday I suspect. Speaking of took, I've had a change of heart and thought I'd share my culinary creation with you. I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that "pink dress day" is metaphorical. I'd like your thoughts :H :H :H
The took...

Morning possums!
Bridge the garden is looking great!!
Wow Tawny - 32 degrees!! Its been really nice here actually, and the water temperature is good enough to be able to swim without a wetsuit!
Techie ..... "took" rang a bell with me, and I've been racking my brains trying to think why. Then I started re-reading The Hobbit last night and remembered that Bilbo Baggins was the son of the famed Belladonna Took. Maybe next Thanksgiving you could add baked hobbit to the menu :H (Dog knows I'll have had enough of them by the end of next week - the movie premieres in Wellington next Tuesday and the whole city is hobbit crazy at the moment. It is embarrassing!!)
Mr G - how are you liking your new abode?
Sunny - how is the new job going and did you manage to sort stuff out with your previous employer?
big waves to all other undies!Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

I have to say that I love the book, and despite my despair about how NZ has prostituted itself to Peter Jackson and Warner Brothers (Wellington has re=branded itself as "the Middle of Middle Earth FFS!) I suddenly had a yearning to re-read it, and went and bought a facsimile of the first edition yesterday. I've been reading it today, off and on, while trying to keep Mr B a bit up-beat. He has just left for the wedding (having been ready for the past 40 minutes) .... but very antsy and anxious, which is not like him at all.
I feel so sad for him. Before his daughter was born, and when his ex was 7 months pregnant, he was in a serious motor bike accident with a suspected spinal cord injury. He remembers being in intensive care, completely immobilised and wondering whether he would ever meet his daughter. She has been the apple of his eye, and I suspect a bit of a daddy's girl. We have some deep misgivings about this wedding, but she is 24 and old enough to be responsible for her own decisions. He is very hurt at how much he has been cut out of the whole thing, but given the family politics, not altogether surprised.
Wedding is at 3pm NZ time. Having stayed cheerful all morning, I had a little weep after he left. I have my own hurts about how his daughter has treated him over the last couple of years; and also about how she has treated me. I would love to be standing beside Mr B this arvo, and supporting him in supporting his daughter as she takes this life changing step, and he would have wanted me to be there as well. However, that is a conversation which we've had together, and we are working at finding ways to move on while trying to still maintain a relationship with her. But I think we will both be much happier in about 12 hours time :-)
It is so fabulous to have somewhere like MWO where I can spill my emotions without being judged. :l
Plan for the rest of the afternoon is to chill out with Wallace and Gromitt. I have a wide range of comfort food available, but at the moment I cant decide whether macaroni cheese or a ham and cheese croissant would be preferableNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Missy go with the mac and cheese. When I'm in a down mood I like fried chicken with extra skin. I loved your post and I think you are an amazing woman :l:l:lOutside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Arvo all,
Oh Missy, that's all so disappointing. I reckon give her another few years to mature and she may realise that things really weren't as she thought. Doesn't help you or Mr. B at the moment though.
Now Techie - tell me you don't really order extra skin. Surely, even in the US, one can't order extra skin on a chook.
Undies, I'm deliciously roosted - the bin is full and ready for Metal Man to collect. Get the message in blue. Reckon it was penned by a wife? The two !! indicate that she means business.
