We were skeptical as nothing ever REALLY works well for long, but we've been using this for almost 2 years, and our dogs and house have been flea free the entire time. Give it a go Missy.
Same. It's defo the best but they don't make it for cats dammit.....
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I use the Comfortis - thanks Sunny, you put me onto it - for the dog and I use Capstar for the cats....

            I :h Leon

I also :h how the garden is looking...vegie beds and chooks all being prepped for when we go away at Christmas, to be low maintenance and easy care for the people we have checking everything...

Good morning all. I attempted to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, but I only got as far as making the potatoes. It's been a bit of a rough week as it goes sometimes. All the matters is the little guy is happy and loved. I havn't gotten my old work stuff sorted but I'm giving it some time.

MB, you are a wonderful woman. Through all your posting the last 18 months I can tell that anyone who knows you, knows they have a beautiful person as part of their life. It is Mr. B's families loss for not letting you be a part of their lives. Mr. B certainly knows how lucky he is though. I am glad that you have each other!

Good to see you Mr. G, and RC.
Haps, Leon loved our sushi date with your boys.
TF, loved your pink dress day. I reckon we should all show up at yours in our pink dresses (undie men included) and have lunch.
Nicey, I'll bring little Leon over to the pool next weekend .

It is indeed a lovely picture of Leon - but then gain I dont think we have ever seen a horrible picture of the wee guy!!

Thanks for all the comments on the wedding - there is a lot of truth in the "still got some growing up to do" stuff. But Mr B came home last night reporting that it had gone a lot better than expected. There were also a number of people from his ex-es family who had not been invited, and once he found that out he felt less singled out. But we are very glad to have it all behind us!! He was very proud of his son, who did several readings and speeches and acquitted himself extraordinarily well by all accounts. He is indeed a lovely young man, and I can be grateful that at least I have a really good relationship with him (boy).

Bridge - our family is a bit like the swedes you describe. Of my 7 siblings, 5 have had multiple partners and blended families. When my dad died, all of the ex - es came apart from one. And we all get invited to family weddings and funerals and christenings, and in the main everyone gets on really well. Yes, there are people that I dont necessarily like very much, but I just avoid them at gatherings!

Thanks for the advice on the fleas - I was going to do the flea bomb today, but I forgot to buy them yesterday. I will get them tomorrow and blitz the house on Tuesday. I looked for Capstar at the local vet, but they only had Advantage PLus and Frontline, although I can get Capstar on line. I think I might give it a go, as I really suspect that Betty has developed an immunity to Advantage over time.

December next week!!! Where did 2012 go to?? I did a bit of a plan for all the things that ned to be done over the next two months - 4 weeks to Xmas, a couple of weeks off, then 4 weeks more and I'll be crossing the ditch!!!! Plan for next weekend is to sort through my wardrobe and dispense with all heavy-duty winter woollies!!

Hi Sunshine..your little lad is such a doll. Sounds like you got your priorities all right to me. Enjoy!

Techie, really sorry to hear about your family's place. Those sandy shore pics reminded me so much of Summerside, NS.

Thanks girls. We are finally through the cycle of change. This was hardest on my mom but we are moving on. Missy I agree about all the Leon pics being precious. Well many folks said that about me at that age. Why here...

Little Techie. The doctors told mom the facial hair would resolve by age 4.

                              Arvo Undies,

Well that's a twice-sprayed screen today - once for Bridgee's instructions to the bloke in yellow and once for Techie's baby pic. Dog, that's so sad about that beautiful family house. The scenery in the hiking pics is amazing.

So lovely to see Sunny and get a new Little Leon fix. He just gets cuter and cuter.

Missy - that time will absolutely whizz by and you'll be saying bewdy mate before you know it.

Bit of a quiet day here - market this morning for the first cherries of the season YAY! and some herbs for planting as all the coriander and italian parsley have bolted and gone to seed. Ran out of gas this morning so no hot water or stove-top cooking but as it's about 30C neither is a big deal. Cold showers are good for you apparently ...
