Think they want it alive Aspy - I saw another couple of notices also advertising for crocs, and one specified that it had to be alive and healthy!! Dog knows what they would do with it??
I've been loving every second of my 10 hours so far in Kiribati There's free range chooks, free range pigs, free range kids, music and dancing in the town square to celebrate fisheries day, people singing in the back of trucks as they go home from work at the end of the day, little in the way of domestic violence, women in senior positions in government, and lots of very thoughtful people that I'm talking to. If this internet connection proves to be okay I'll stick some photos up.
Had a hilarious time getting through customs and immigration. Think of a customs and immigration regime that has no queues, not counters, no baggage trolleys and no baggage conveyor belt. It was bedlam!! I picked up my bag relatively early and managed to get through quite quickly - only to discover when I got to the car and went to get my umbrella out (it had started to hose down by that stage, in the sort of way that it does in the tropics) only to find that I had picked up a bag that was identical to mine, bu was not, in fact, mine. So I had to head on back in again and start all over again. The customs people just laughed at me - I'm not sure I would have had as friendly a reaction if the same things had happened to me in NZ!
