You're right Bridge - but if I go down that path, more money for the lawyers to 'talk' and I'm sure they'll drag it out so they get top $$$$...... Yep, that is exactly what FH said because the guy suggested we come back to get the remainder of our stuff (the big heavy things that we want the removalists to manage) at an agreed time once he has the keys...... FH says, yeah and you can say nuk. Round and around we go...... Gone are the days of agreements made with a handshake. Yep arseholes ....... The lawyers say it is about looking after their client's best interests and his peace of mind. They insist on this for all their sales......not in the contract though. They write it in if we want it changed. Really???? At no fee???? The rate of sellers squatting has risen by 35% in the last 12 months.....

What adventures are we all having?
And it better be a whole lot more interesting than letting another girl play with your knee......

Awe Nicey, what a bummer. Hope it all works out okay.
I am making a call to fair work AU this morning to sort out a maternity issue with my prior employer.
As well, just hanging with little Leon instead of running around to play group. The car we bought is costing $1000 in repairs. It makes me wonder if people sell their cars when they know something is wrong with it, and then not divulge the info to the buyer. Personally I would fix it up then sell it. Otherwise it's like selling a faulty product.
Anyways, the older gentleman who lives across the street has cancer, and he's just going on with his life. He is always outside doing things, and it makes me focus on the good stuff. Everything else is just details. I've seen a mighty lot of good this past week, with a little bit of bad mixed in. You can't have one without the other because then you wouldn't know what the good feels like.
Have a beautiful Friday Undies and friends!
HUGS from Leon and I!

Nicey - may many eels visit the lawyer arsehole. I hope the cleaner craps in the office Birko.
This will be the last embuggerance. Soon you'll both be in, unpacked, set-dressed and arranging your first vase of beautiful flowers, safe in the knowledge that karma exists...
Back in a bit.

Arvo Undies and visiting Internationalists,
Thought it about time to make the effort and put in a more than one-liner so ... some random thoughts ...
On Men's Health: Apart from the Prostate gig, Men's Mental health seems to deserve a bit of attention. Our little town's Men's Shed is turning into a fantastic initiative. The old boys get together two afternoons and one full day per week and make stuff, grow stuff or generally just potter and yack. They're a hoot! One bloke has Parkinson's so they get him to do all the sanding because they reckon he does a more thorough job in half the time. Another is totally useless with all things hammerish but loves baking, so he makes afternoon tea; not shop-bought bikkies but lemonade scones or slices. Another has had a stroke and can only use one arm but he does all their welding. Another is physically pretty well fusked but is brilliant at technical drawing so he does all their grant applications, building permits etc.
These are all of retirement age and over and could slowly be depressisng themselves into a premature grave but instead, collectively, they're a force to be reckoned with, acknowledged and respected.
Shist. After that lengthy diatribe, I've forgotten what else I wanted to address.
Bridge - hope the manipulation is working and oh ... now I remember ... I also hired a tradie for two different jobs - not a cutie but bloody good. Money well spent.
Little Leon - you never cease to make me smile.
Reggie - I also throb that avatar and I really throbbed Regina in her pink jarmies.
Happs, Mr,G, Lilly, Missy, Raggsy when she's back, Beags, Saffy, Shas et al ***waving*** and trusting you're all happy and well on this POETS day.
Re Wilson - thank dog they now make cat medicine in liquid form.
Re my liver mate - they did a trachy yesterday. She's still in ICU.
Yikes - better go and have a LLD.

Oh man I loooove getting tradies in. A mate of mine has always maintained that I get three quotes on every job not because I am ex government, but because I'm picking the best looker for the job. She may have a point, but I also love their pro tools and the excitement of actually getting the job done. Sigh.
Physio reckons my knee will come good. I have my doubts but she is mad as a cut snake, good for a laugh and I claim it on private, so cool.
Funny I had a haircut this last week, and because I can never keep anything simple I was wondering to self how old was all the hair falling to the hairdresser floor. I did an approximate calculation and I reckon that round about the time that hair was squeezing it's way out of my skull pores was one of the shittiest times of my life. Suffice to say it would test positive for alcohol.
Weird thing is that I have felt much MUCH lighter and better ever since. Hair was down to my arse so some of this would be literal:H But very surprised at how cathartic such a simple thing can be.
Anyhoo, I'm babbling.
That men's shed story is the best thing I have heard all day.If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Oh ... and another thing I thought of while I'm sitting here in pink dress mode ... apparently we all need to watch A Moody Christmas on ABC. I think (?) it was on Wednesday night ... I can't get Iview on my satellite to catch up ... it's supposed to be the ducks guts.
Stay tuned for another riveting post ...
Where the hell are ya?
