      Good morning Undies!!

Nicey - I hope your move goes well today!

Tawny - just loved the Men's Shed story.

Reg - I subscribe to the Big Ideas podcast and listen to it when I cant sleep at night. There are lots of good 'uns and I plan to be a National Radio devotee when I move to Sydney :-) I'll look up that Meditation Toolkit too ....... I have felt my blood pressure dropping over the last week, and I need to put some priority in keeping it down.

Sunny - hope you manage to sort out your maternity leave issue.

And Lily, I dont exactly know what vertigo is, but I hope you are feeling better soon.

Techie - I cried when I heard about you mum losing her letters from your dad during WWII. That is so tragic because they are so personal and irreplaceable. Mr B has all the letters exchanged between his parents, and the letters to them from his mum's family in Holland. They are all in boxes in our garage, and I have been urging him for some years to lodge them with NAtional Archives where they can be looked after properly, as some of their family circumstances make them of interest to historians.

Still loving Kiribati - yesterday was payday. It happens fortnightly, and every fortnight there are fundraising BBQs in the village square. Sort of like the Kiribati equivalent of a sausage sizzle. However, the power went out yesterday for 5 hours, we ran out of water this morning (dont come too close - I haven't had a shower yet!!) and it has taken about an hour to download 4 photos!! I'll just leave them quietly running in the background and hopefully will have some up by the end of the day

      have a good one!

My sympathies Bridge. I had a time where I couldn't post on MWO at all and I just about went spare!!

Appalingly slow internet here (the guy in the next room is here on an aid project trying to sort out some infrastructure stuff, but he reckons they need to pull it all down and start again) so I'I'm not having much luck getting my photos uploaded to photo bucket. But here is a selection!

I wanted to put up a couple more, but I'm getting impatient with download speeds In particular, one of the monument to the Pacific Coastwatchers, a bunch of NZ and Australian (non-military) radio operators who were beheaded by the Japanese in WWII during the battle of Tarawa. I grew up with the story because my dad was a radio operator ..... but they have only this year been recognised in ANZAC ceremonies in NZ

                  Morning/Arvo All,

Made it to the gym today and managed to actually jog for an extended period of time. Felt SO good.
                  Loved the man shed story.
The Maternity issue is that I am given a year to return to my prior position. I have not informed them I have another job in case things don't work out with my job I have something to fall back on, since I have until May to return if I chose to. Apparently my store is being bought as a franchise. I emailed my area manager and asked what that meant for me if I was going to return in the future. He said I would be terminated from the company and it was up to the franchisee to hire me. I know the franchisee and she will be running the shop to make optimal profit so no need of a manager. I also know the maternity legislation and know it's illegal to have that outcome. So after confirming with fair work gov.au I returned an email to my boss stating the maternity legislation rules and told him to let me know the outcome. His options are either offer me a similar role for the same pay within the company, or give me a redundancy package. The main thing is I am tired of working for companies who do not follow the laws. Even though my return to them is not something I planned, it's an option I have left myself if there is a necessity. Needless to say I have had no reply yet. I feel good about it though, making them do right thing.

Orf to eat hubs home made hummus! Love and hugs to you all.

Bridge, glad the knee will return to normal.
Nicey, hope the move is going well.
Hiya Gster, Rags, Haps, Lily, Reg, Asp, Techie, Nora, and anyone I missed.
                  MB, Love the photos.

                              Hi Nora and Trippy.
Techie I had just worked out that you were about to get on a plane to head out to NY.
I'm so glad that you've got siblings who will work in with you and you can all pull together.
Techie my biggest wish for you in this coming year is that it's a boring one! Of everyone I know, you've had more obstacles than anyone the last couple of years. Personally I know for certain that I would not be sober by now. You must be an incredibly strong person.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
