The fruit basket cracked me up!!! And brought back a memory. About 6 months into my marriage I walked into the bedroom to find my ex-husband bending over picking something off the floor. He had his back to me. You can imagine the rest...... :upset: Traumatized I was... :H

Slept in today. That's cause I was up until 2:00. Showed Mom a game to play on my Kindle. She was having fun.

Ok - as long as we're sharing -
When my son was little - (probably about 4 years old) we were playing a little trick on Daddy. Daddy was just getting up in the morning and we were hiding in the hallway to trick him. Well, hubby walked out in the hallway with no clothes on to go to the bathroom. Let's just say that he woke up feeling happy. Casey said - Look....that's BIG. :H:H

Just really loving spending time with my parents. Worried about them though. Dad's breathing is so much worse. That's even with this oxygen. And, Mom's memory is getting worse. We just can't get her to eat. She does drink an Ensure every night. We're trying to get her to eat several small things during the day because she definitely can't eat a meal. But, from what I've read and what the Doctor says, this is just part of the Alzheimer's. But, we're grateful, she is happy. Plus, my Aunt is not doing well at all. My Aunt & Uncle live next door and she has gone thru cancer this past year and is still having problems and is so weak. Thankfully, my brother lives up here & watches over them. I don't know what I would do, if he didn't live up here.

It's really tough when they start to get older Nora. :l

Maybe you could get her some All One and Protein Shake powder? If you blend those in with an Ensure and some ice... you're talking mega protein, vitamins and the calories from the Ensure...

I'm not sure now Nora. I went to the Ortho yesterday and I have an ACL tear... going in tomorrow, he'll have the x-ray... and should be starting rehab. I'll find out what's what then. I've had it for 3 months (oof... I know... I need a kick in the hiney for this one!) but luckily I did what I was meant to have done and iced it and rested it. So they hope rehab and physio will do it but if I don't respond to that then it's arthroscopic surgery.

Long story short... I reckon I'm going to have to postpone my trip. Again. (

Oh wow! I didn't know it was that bad. I'm so sorry. Yes - we've got to stop putting of going in & getting checked when we have something wrong with us.

Not totally sure I need to postpone it yet. I'll know more tomorrow though. Frankly, I am more worried about getting it better with rehab and not having to have surgery than the trip.... (
