      Nurdl - so glad that you're having a good time. Great job on staying AF. I keep telling myself the same thing......I wouldn't stop at one.

      Quiet on here today. Hope everyone is ok. I'm heading to bed soon myself. Have to be at the hospital at 6:00 am. Catch you all tomorrow.

          Hi all,
          The giblets are already cooking, and the house smells like turkey. I just need to vacuum, then the house will be as clean as it gets, I've been doing other cleaning tasks all week. We will just have two guests, a lovely quiet gathering. HAPPY TURKEY DAY! I offer my thanks for all that I have, including the friends and support here.
          My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

                On my kindle so excuse typos. Scott is having Hermia surgery. I'm waiting.

                Ended up taking an antabuse last night. Too much stress and thinking about alcohol. So far the palpitations are not worse. Still have them the way they have been.

                  Hi Everyone!

                  Nora - I hope Scott's surgery goes well. Good job on taking the AB...I've been making sure to TTDP every day too...with Sierra gone this whole week my mind has been drifting to "a few wouldn't hurt"...only yeah, a few WOULD hurt!

                  Mama, Juja, Sun, Nurdl and everyone else, have a great day...I slept great last night so hopefully today will be a much better day.

                  Oh Mama...I am going to see Skyfall tonight with my DATE...we are going to have Japanese food then catch the movie...things are getting serious. LOL

                  I'll let ya'll know how it goes...this is all so new to me, it feels weird!

                    Eeeeee.... lookeee Mama! Niner is having Japanese food with her date tonight! :H Niner... Mama and I laughed our arses off with stupid Chinese sayings for your last date... we thought it was highly entertaining but nobody else noticed but ourselves! :H

                    Och well... we can't all be adult.

                    Is everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I haven't even been to the store yet. We're going to smoke the turkey (and some salmon) tonight and then the turkey will get finished off in the oven tomorrow. We're making oyster dressing and sage & onions stuffing... green bean casserole from scratch (begone Campbells mushroom soup), mashed spuds, sweet taters, broccoli and cheese, brussel sprouts and of course gravy. And Moules Marinieres too I think. And garlic bread. I'm stuffed just thinking about it....

Sorry we're pulling your leg a bit... :l I know what it's like dating as a fully fledged mature member of the human race... and it is a little bit challenging. Try and enjoy it though, and don't put any pressure on yourself. Let him stress over it! You... just... enjoy. :l

                        I'm reading ken follett's the pillars of earth and its 970 pages long..., very very good and I can't put it down.... So I've just been kind of absent.. Work has been slow, the biggest challenge is forcing my son to play piano every night... That is my trigger to want to drink. It's just that this generation, all they want to do is play video games and watch tv.... No interests in sports, hobbies or anything. Quit soccer, tai Kwan do, I'm forcing him to do something!!! Ahhhh!

                          Yes, I remember your Japanese quotes...they were quite funny...and now it actually applies...you're something of a fortune teller. Oh wait, we did Chinese food last time didn't we? LOL

                          Alkie, I read Pillars of the earth and watched the 9 HOUR mini-series....I love it!!!! I love Builder Jack. Enjoy it When you get a chance to see the mini-series, you will truly appreciate the male eye candy. LOL
