Just wondering. Seems kind of slow for a forum that could be so beneficial. I think it has been here a long time.

Yes, it is my impression that it used to be busier. The thing I remember is 30 day groups forming at the beginning of every month. Those groups are still around, but not as often and not as many members.

It has slowed wayyyyyyyy down. But Ive noticed a general slow down in all forms of social media.

But this board has been a bit "livelyer" than it used to be LOL

I actually believe that this is one reason for some of the friction. Fewer voices mean that it is easier for a few to dominate.

In my honest opinion, it's at least partly because newcomers are always guided towards the Newbies Nest. Which don't get me wrong, it's a great, supportive ongoing thread but I think in a way it prevents them from starting their own threads.

People are usually guided to the Newbies Nest as a place to start because they come here and are unsure of how to navigate. Once they get more comfortable, most start their own threads if they want to. However, nobody dominates the threads. We are all equals here.
