Zen:

zonked out last night from previous night's insomnia so feeling better today physically.

Still stressed though. Zen, how do you be zen like in stressful situations? I can't meditate because my mind is too busy. Is there a zenful thought that helps you through? The only one comes to mind right now is not very positive but sort of helps is " a thousand years from now, my body will be rotting 6 foot under so who cares about this stress anyway?" Maybe you could offer something brighter and more positive than that zenful thought of mine...

Ya know... when you get older you don't worry so much and you accept things for what they are. Really, that is my take on it. I used to fret and stress and stress and fret until my stomach was in knots. Now I'm, like, what will be will be and no amount of flipping out over it will change it. I still get anxious every now and then but on the whole I am pretty calm these days. I also had a lifelong problem with accepting death and I realize now that was a big part of the stress factor. But I've had 3 cats (my babies) pass in the last few years and after the last one I accepted death. It's hard to explain. Sorry I can't give you a good answer like saying OMMM or something...

I have to tell you though hon... my name isn't Buddhist... lol I have a Bachelors in Interior Design and I looked around the room for divine inspiration when I was picking a user name... when I signed up here... and saw a book!
