Being in pain really sucks the life out of a person. I wonder if the Epsom Salts would help with it? Maybe you can try soaking in a hot bath with Epsom Salts... Satz turned me onto them and I've been using them since.

Is the rheumatism linked to gout, cos that was an issue a bit back?

Edit: Does the doc have you on meds?

Fish oil/omegas/EFA (why they can't give 'em one non-confusing bloody name is beyond me!) is good for it... also MSM (it's cheaper than glucosamine/chondroitin... the physical therapist put me on it as a cheaper option and it's supposed to be every bit as good).
