    Taking a break from the boards until election posts stop

    Everyone,

    Yes, I know I don't have to read the threads or posts--I do, and yes, I know I can delete threads, but I can't. I have this compulsion to know how my friends feel, so I read, but say nothing.

    With that being said, I'm going to give myself a break from the stress it causes me, just as I did with the pundits during the past year, and go AWOL for a bit.

    We're all emotionally involved in our country. I understand and appreciate that, but I assumed I could find respite here.

      I feel rather dumb right now. i thought the political would not crop up here, especially since it's over.

      I was very involved and now I will be taking a break too.

                Lots of threads that don't interest me, but that doesn't mean I can't participate. We can't, as individuals, decide what content is put in general discussion. I'm sorry you feel offended by a thread about a subject you don't want to discuss. I haven't looked at any of the election threads myself because I don't wish to discuss it either, but it's not affecting whether I come here or not.
