      Just had a phone call from eldest daughter............god she's a gobby mare, I had the phone on loud speaker and half way across the room and it still hurt me fecking ear, no idea who she takes after :H:H

            Panno - I've tried every 'diet' known to man. With varying degrees of success. But his getting back to our roots and eating stuff our bodies can process - especially meat etc - rings true for me and makes so much sense. My opinion only.

            It's the huge companies via the media & governments buying into the idea that wheat ,cereals,
            bread, dairy are good for us is that is the problem.
            'nuff on that for now.....

                I tend to agree and I think its all down to too much sugar and processed foods that makes us bigger, I was tempted to go on a war time diet, gosh those women in the 40's had waistlines smaller than my wrist :H

                  there ye go ! and they didn't cut out meat - if they had it - butter was REAL - even bread was feckin' real ! Fats ? they ate dripping - lard !
                  But for the first time in my my life it's not ONLY about weight - it overall health.

                    Me too Satz, I don't mind getting older but I would like to do it as healthy as I can my sister bless her.....she's 4ft 10" and must weigh at least 18 stone and is in denial that her aches and pains and high blood pressure and other numerous problems are not down to her weight, she is heart attack on a plate :upset: on and her husband is her equivalent!!

                      Ackshully if you think about it, my Granny was born at the beginning of the first world war (1914) the depression and the second world war and she alive and more or less fully functioning at 98. I very much doubt she's had a low fat yoghurt in her entire life.

                        Sometimes low fat is not the best cos they make up for it in hidden sugar !

                        (I could murder a bacon butty !!! With LURPAK and lashings of bacon .....)

                              Morning all..just popped in to see wots going on..all this talk about diets is making me hungry..mm bacon, egg tomato mushrooms toast sausage ..oh and a cup of tea...no sugar of course :H:H
                              Mario hows you doing mate?

                              Satzy have you tried the bin diet?Wot you do is get a bucket..cut 2 eyeholes in it...then on the opposite side cut a mouthhole.Wear the bucket on yer heed..that way you can see food but dont know how to get it into your mouth..try it with soup..will amuse your friends and family :H:H
