    Celebrating 500 days!

    Big accomplishment! I have 500 days sober under my belt So excited. I am very thankful for this site, my true friends and close family. Such a great feeling! Life is so so so much better. I do not understand just how I managed to go through life with AL for the time I did. No way could I have handles the hurdles and challenges by carelessly drinking away my pain, which only led to more pain. It's such a freeing experience, I don't know how else to describe it. I have found that I am funnier, smarter, better looking and so much more confident in this way of life. And I've been doing it as a single mom the entire time, staying away from dating and rediscovering who I am. Bad habits seem to attract bad relationships.My time to fix and work on me. So at peace and ease in my own skin. I absolutely LOVE IT! This will be a life long relationship with myself free from AL.

                          Turnaround - thank you! I needed this. The days seem daunting - it seems such a long time, but I am only a couple of weeks in - looking forward seems to feel bleak, even though I am really enjoying most of the feelings I am having just now - to see a post like this makes it all seem worth it.....and as a single mother who is staying away for dating just now - you give me hope....:l:l
