What do they do for rheumatism? I reckon I'll be getting something like that in this knee... I already feel a dull ache (on top of the initial pain) when I wake up in the a.m...

Hello mrs bear and everyone else

Zenny, if you were to look on the bright side, it's quite fortunate that you "only" tore your ACL rather than ruptured it, which could easily have happened. Professional footballers who rupture their ACLs are out of the game for about a year. My holly ruptured both her ACLs (on separate occasions) and took AGES to recover fully. Are you in a lot of discomfort? How long do you have to wear the knee brace and go to rehab for?

Yeah...you've just reminded me zens...holly ended up with arthritis in both knees as a result of her surgery. Hope that doesn't happen to you...well, I hope you don't need surgery at all.

                            Hiya ReccyBear!

The Doc didn't put a time limit on the rehab or brace. It is along the lines of... "You screwed up not coming in here 3 months ago when it happened and you will have to work hard at it and hope you can avoid surgery." It sounds like a "see how it goes" thing? I really do NOT want surgery. How did Holly rupture her ACLs?

Yep... that is EXACTLY what I'm thinking. I have a dull ache in the actual knee part now... on top of the sharp pain. Bet you anything it's Arthur Rhitis....

                              Hiya P3...
