Afternoon all. Lovely sunny one here but cold. Once again well done on 7 months af Pinky. Its good to able to treat yourself to a hair do every now and then. I got mine done about 3 wks ago and it was long overdue too with over an inch of roots but pleased with it now. Hope the funeral goes ok Mario. Thats a lot of grog yer mates putting away and i thought my 2 bottle of wine a day habit was bad.:wow: I have a friend is quite bad on al right now she says 3 to 5 bottles a day and she is just out of hospital and slowly back to her old ways. She has an appointment with her dr next week so hopefully she will see sense. Al is a curse. Anyway have a lovely saturday whatever you're plans. Oh Pinky forgot to ask how is the steps going with your sponser?

Afternoon army,

Mario - sorry to hear about your friend. That 2 bottles of voddie reminds me of an actor I knew who was on about the same and looked like he was chapping on deaths door - was in and out of hospital, was sometimes found collapsed at his home. He's still alive, and i think still drinking, though cut right back. Poor thing. He was always a heavy drinker but when his dad passed away something clicked and he went at it hell for leather 24/7.

Sometimes i'm amazed at how much some peeps bodies can take.

So, having settled down to work on my notes for my essay upon my laptop, I am interrupted quite rudely by a feast of fur...



That moved slowly across the keys...and showing me somewhere the sun don't shine...



Before circling back to lay right across some notes (that i've yet to decipher or make head nor tail of)



And then promptly falling asleep...

I just looked up why they do it and found this:

"Cats who are familiar and friendly with each other often have a greeting ritual. They use a similar ritual to greet their humans or other household animals. They rub their head, flank and tail against the other cat or person to exchange odours. They hold the tail straight up so that the other cat can sniff the anal glands. I'm the slowest P/T student - doing a 2nd undergrad' degree. Philosophy. Don't know why. Each term i say it'll be the last cos i don;t have the time, but then something just pulls me back. I;m not that great, but i do quite like working things out..

Mama - this is logic stuff. Does ma feckin nut in. This term is Practical Reason... which is actually quite good for working out a logical reason why i shouldn't drink each night.

(Where RR = rationally required; s= stay sober; ?d = to not buy drink; B = belief; I = intention. Oh, and the funny tent means "and" ...
So, in long hand it says: It is rationally required that if I intend to stay sober this evening and I believe that to stay sober i must not buy drink and I belief that to not buy drink, is reason for me not to intend to buy drink, then i intend not to buy drink.)

More simply, one could say: wanna be sober? → don't drink!
