Hi, Satz
L-glutamine helps with sugar cravings.
Also, the longer you avoid "sweet", the less you want it until finally, it just isn't very appealing. It's easier in my opinion to just avoid honey, stevia, artificial sweeteners, etc.
Another helpful thing is to measure your blood sugar an hour or so after indulging. My shocking numbers scared me straight.
Glad you're ready and willing to try again. xx

Ai still going on my abstinence on not eating cakes, biscuits, ice cream deserts chocolate also not drinking any fizzy drinks whatsoever ,and have cut down on my sparkling water intake, just drinking still water more now.
I still eat fruit & other healthy foods, am I cheating or is this ok ??

Sugar in fruit Mario - but I think unless you have a problem with sugar levels in bloods - it's ok I think :headscratch:
But NS is the expert :worthy:

Hi guys, i have decided to give sugar the boot or the shares in the chocolate factory i have. I started L-Glut and have been on it for two days and i have not had any chocolate. Its either in my head or it seems to be working. Will keep you updated.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom

Hey Ava, I saw your post and thought I would check this site out. I am trying to eat no sugar myself although my friend gave me a Valentines chocolate bar yesterday. After Valentines Day I am going to try and totally stop sugar for awhile. It has been kind of crazy since Christmas. Too much chocolate!Narilly

I want to quit sweets too but I know it takes a lot of willpower. I'll try to psych myself up and quit the day after Valentine's Day too! I went for about nine months on a paleo type of diet and it felt great while I was on it. But once I had my first sweet, the sweet tooth emerged again. Just like with beer. I'm either abstinent, and feeling fine, or I'm back at my usual consumption habit- which is not a huge problem day to day, but does result n the occasional very regrettable "incident." So with beer- its out for good. We'll see about the sweets- the regrettable incident there occurs when I get on the scale, or go in for my annual physical and hear my blood sugar level is higher than it should be.

I do recommend the L-glut, i have had no cravings and i could eat up to a block of chocolate if it was there. I have it in powder form which i put with my protein shake, not the nicest tasting but doable. NS said you can buy capsules but i need to order them online. Day 3 for me and see how it goes. My daughter saw a tim tam in the fridge last night and asked if she could eat it, i just said yes and she looked at me like i was another mother she did not know about. i would eat a packet of those in a sitting. I still have sugar in my tea but my aim is to stop the ridiculously high chocolate intake.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom
