LOL, he is more than ok. That leather suit he is wearing is enough protection to allow him to play Superman on the track surface. Even if he does fall, he's only got a few inches till he lands.........:H
He is getting every ounce of potential from that bike...riding on the razors edge, but doing it flawlessly.

Nelz, I went through my crash files. Most of them have been removed from Youtube. It is amazing what those suits will protect the racer from and that they often walk out of some pretty intense wipeouts barely injured or with no injuries. My husband's dad died on the track. They know the risks and take them. He was a grand prix champion twice before it took his life.
Maybe someday I'll share some videos. For now, these are some intense wipeouts. You don't want any oil spills on the track!

There are so many videos online and it is amazing to watch if you have the stomach. I get exhilarated just watching it.Rule your mind or it will rule you. It is from a thought that an action grows. :bat

Yeah, oil on the track and your bike going through it at a full lean........bad bad news.
When we have those bikes leaned like that there is no real margin of error....tap the brakes, chop the throttle, do anything to "upset the bike" and she will throw you to the ground like Hulk Hogan on steroids.
Ive never crashed yet, but Im convinced its comming......two kinds of riders in the world: Those that HAVE crashed and those that WILL crash.
You are right about our suits, very capable of taking the abuse of a slide down the pavement.
Im actually ok with a low side crash(having the bike slide out from under you in a turn) but I FEAR a high side(going over the top of the bars)
Cant do anything until April anyway, except sit around and look at bike porn! :H
Love to see a slow mo clip of me coming around T10 at HPTLiving on Planet Sober since 05/02/11

Yep, I have to say if you are giving that bike your all, a crash of some type is inevitable. My husband's dad won two Grand Prix races before he died on the track in a race. My husband was building a dynamometer from scratch last spring through the summer. Actually, it's done, but there was a problem with getting read outs, so it's either the teeth count or something in the electrical box. He missed the season and was deeply disappointed. He sure can make a bike fast!! In one way I'm dreading the day he gets his behind back on a bike. He lacks fear...errrr...comes with the territory? In another way, it gives him such joy, how can you not want to see that? Do you still compete or do track time for fun?
Would love to see a clip of you. Any on youtube?Rule your mind or it will rule you. It is from a thought that an action grows. :bat
