    Santa's Little Underoos

    Onya Jonesy!

    Arvo all,

Geez, i can't believe the news of the nurse who took her life in London apparently over a radio prank call from a sydney radio show. A call which she took, and i presume, felt somehow responsible for. What a waste. I hate commercial radio dj's anyway, but i don't think their intent was to cause any harm. What a horrible bloody story. A 46 yr old married mum too. So young, so much life ahead of her.

In other news, a scorcher here around 38c, but cool change a comin through soon.

    Take care Roo's.

        Morning all,

Well, 'pussy galore' might be just a partial description of my new neighbourhood after last nights festivities, but not the whole picture. I did not partake, but all around me where yer stereotypes. Ya had yer 'doof doof' gay boys next door, ya had yer fallen angel in the front apartment who likes a (hic) drink, you got yer hippy sheila toking on a joint in the backyard, you got Sven the backpacker from Sweden here for a couple a years with his classic accent and seemingly humble habits, and now they all have me, yer guitar pickin', bike ridin', mature age community worker with the weather beaten features who's possibly seen it all, and is reasonably patient and accepting because of it. I knda like it here.

Cooler today around 24c and sunny. Hi Sunny and Leon man! Wonder what they're up to today....

Have a good one everybody. Yo!

Morning Mr G, Reggie and all to arrive @ the drawer...what a top day thats gonna be Reg, no need to say have fun...

Mr G...your neighborhood sounds sort of like mine...one side the police arriving to visit on a regular basis, the other has just had a live pig delivered....little locust hasnt done the sums and think they have a pet....another "back to the farm" story me thinks...

What adventures await us today?? and I bloody hope it rains...Mr Happs bought 2 more 1000 litre tanks and the rain clouds dried up as the tanks got backed into the driveway..he is perpetually on BOM's radar telling me where the clouds are

Happy, it sounds like a 2012 version of "The Good Life" at your place!!

Mr G, I've been thinking about that nurse too. While I agree with you that the radio people probably didn't mean any harm (and the tape shows they clearly are completely surprised at being put through), I imagine that if I was a nurse answering a phone call at 5am in the morning (and most likely at the end of a night shift) from someone purporting to be the Queen, I'd feel pretty intimidated and flustered. I just feel like it is a tragedy of the most mammoth proportions for all involved.

My thoughts followed on from a court case that has been going on here this week - two young guys being aggressive on the streets after a night on the booze, decide to rob a guy walking home from work. They wanted was some cash, hit him in the jaw ...... someone else might have ended up in hospital, but this particular victim had a degenerative bone condition and his skull shattered as a result.

Consequences. We cant always foresee them.

Anyway undies, back after what we thought was going to be a relatively easy trip to collect the boy, but proved to be a bit more complicated than that for various reasons. I haven't yet decided whether it was because boy underplayed how big a deal it was, or whether Mr B wasn't listening to him properly. But we ended up spending the day at a major rowing regatta, in which boy was participating (and his team got second in one race!), but it was much longer than we had anticipated, we were unprepared for sun, boy and I got sun-burned and Mr B basically got about 2-3 30 minutes sleeps in between Friday night night shift and Saturday night night shift. So today is a very quiet day ... I left them at home to chill out and sleep in this morning, while I came into work to do a few things and get some vegies at the market. This afternoon I think we will all do some serious lying on the couch :-)

Reggie, one day I want you to take me out on your boat. I promise to be quiet and not say a word, except perhaps "yumm" after the first sip of coffee on the St Kilda pier.

I agree Reg - and I say this having sailed in Wellington harbor, where gusts are a bit like the rogue bludger in Harry Potter's quidditch game!!

I'm really enjoying having Mr B's boy home. :h It is so nice and easy and relaxed.

Hope you are OK Froglette`. I know you've had a challenging week, and that upon a challenging year Gack:lGack

I'm so glad you've arrived in 'your' neighbourhood Mr G. Sounds as if it might be just right for you? At this stage anyway? I've always thought that we have our genetic family; but also the 'family' of people that we choose to put around us.

                    Alright....well....enough bollocks from me....

Glad you're enjoying yourself Missy. You deserve every bit of love and joy yer family and loife can muster. Crikey you're a hard worker. Hitting the bay with Reg next you're here sounds a great idea. Yep, i'm glad those dj's and their bosses are getting some heat. Room full of mirrors, and some self reflection might help. Many folk could cop that sort of incident on the chin, but we don't know what's going on for people in their lives behind the scenes.

How are you Rags, and how are you Cozza?

Frog? What are you up to?

Glad the working weekend is over. Great job, but hard yakka in a way.

Personally I loath Christmas. I think we've lost it myself.
