yay, it's staurday!!


The must do list today includes weed demolition and oven cleaning. Oven to bbe cleaned in preparation for Mr B;s annual cooking of the Xmas puds :-) And today is my mum's rest home Xmas party, which is always a very lovely event. I've made little merenguie baskets which I will fill with cream and raspberreies. Thee last two years 've made asparagues rolls, but so did lots of other people :-)

I do indeed G, it is the most amazing feeling. I've been sea swimming a lot too recently as the water temperature has been quite nice. It is very good for my mental health. I reckon it was a good decision for you to move to St Kilda. I've been thinking it would be a good thing for me to splash out on some extra rent in Sydney to live somewhere like Bronte or Manly, just to make sure that I'm close to the sea. There is a great pool quite close to where I'll be working, but it isn't quite like living near the sea

Missy, yep. You MUST live near the sea in that case. I lived near the water when i lived in Sydney, and for water babies like us, or baboons in my case, it is essential. The extra few bucks will be worth it on every level and you won't regret it. I look at it like.....'well Gman, it's expensive everywhere you eedgit, so why not live by the sea?'

Off for a bit of yer Thai boxing down the road this morning. Ya can walk in orf the street and join in as a casual which i like. I'm really looking for yer old school boxing gym where ya throw a gold coin or 2 into the tin, and yer get into a no frills environment and workout.

I know folks can get a gun here if they really want one, but different to the US where they're so much more easily accessible. I wonder if we'd have more of these sorts of shootings here if guns were more readily available/accessible in Oz? Very sad news this morning from America, poor kids.

Great to see you Satz and Mario (thanks for the warning dude:H)
I'm really excited for you Satz. The heat is really building up here and summer has definitely arrived today, so if heat is what you like, you'll be spoiled for choice:H

Huge day yesterday, so I have only just hauled arse out of bed.

Christmas cocktail/mocktail evening attended last night. I really had to make mention of it because it was so sensitively organised for both drinkers and non drinkers. Lovely hostess organised a gorgeous spread of finger food, to which we all contributed. No pressure to drink, witty conversation which didn't degrade to pisshead blather, mainly because at least half of us were on the mocktails. Everyone elegantly dressed for cocktail hour. Lots of vintage cocktail wear and sling back glamour.


Only one dingo amongst them and he was the one drinking heavily
At this stage I am well used to bringing my own, sourcing the non alcoholic drinks and non drinkers....but I was so appreciative of this elegant hosting. I think if it was the blueprint for 'drinks' occasions in this country there would be a lot less addiction and social issues.
