    Santa's Little Underoos

Yes, where was Meatloaf and Lionel Ritchie in all of this?

I think the Mayan calender ends it's cycle on dec 21, and some eeedgit took that to mean the end of the world.

From what I've heard we were lucky that Meatloaf was a no-show.

Shall we tell the ovaries that it's a poxy show and they have to pay their bills, or not?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

              Arvo all,

Youse might get a chuckle out of this.

I went for a Thai boxing session today, which is just down the road, and the nearest gym with punching bags, so 'Muay Thai' as they call it, it is for me workouts for now. Only 4 of us this morning, which is cool cause you pay heaps for a personal training session if you were to book one, so my lucky day.

My lucky day also to be paired up with the gorgeous female instructor, whilst Dolph and Rudolph slugged it out in all that hair, sweat, and grunt. After some punching and kicking drills, we started on some grappling basics, which is part of the style (along with knees and elbows). The grapple technique we did was a close in, arms around each others neck style, and delivering knee blows to the rib cage area. My head was immersed in my instructresses cleavage for much of the time as she forced me head down and into her knee. It was 20 minutes of pain...........and absolute bliss.

But, like many things in life, sooner or later you've got to pay the ferryman. In this case, the ferryman presented in the form of Dolph, a 6' 1" Russian Australian who by all accounts is a top bloke, but doesn't know his own strength. You get to know a few things about a fella when you're grappling and holding each other at very close range for 20 minutes or so. Now i reckon Dolph had sardines and roasted red peppers for breakfast, and probably a heavily garlic laden goulash last night. Now Dolph is a big, friendly and generous sort of bloke, but this won't help my bruised rib cage both sides that i'm expecting to see in the morning. Aside from that, it was a top session, and i'm now orf for a swim in the bay.

You know, there are bunny's paying 13 bucks to swim in the sea baths, when the wide open bay is right there 50 metres away. WTF? Lightweights, all of em.

Gig tonight too, kind of a sombre occassion, but it will be a celebration i'm sure.

'ave a good weekend everyone, and a safe, sober and happy one.

              Ooroo. Yo!

We suffer for our art but ... suffer we must.

                Arvo all,

Wish I had some body of water in the near vicinity. The pond just doesn't cut it. 33C here at the moment, higher expected tomorrow. Wonder how Satz is coping in Sinney?

Wish Techie would give us an update. That's some pretty worrying stuff he's going through.

Nothing important to impart other than the fact that I made a batch of Pao de Queijos. Will play with these again. They're yummo.

hehe, mr G. 'Muay Thai' will get your heart rate up!
the trick to the close in stuff is to get the inside track as it were, your arms inside, theirs outside.
i spent a few years in a mixed Muay Thai/zen do kai class, good fun with a matched partner

i was gifted a sixpack of collectors beer at work, i arived to find it on my desk.
i whipped it off and back onto the givers desk (my supervisor) withing 30seconds of seeing it.
scared the hell out of me.
i have bought beer/alc for others, had it in my fridge and had no dramas.
but to think i feared this beer because it was bought for me expressly and i 'owned' it as i have not owned beer in three years. i owned it for less than a minute, but in that time it crossed my mind"is it cold"? now that is a scarey thought.

                  merry Christmas all.

Aspy - you don't surprise me one little bit. You've been the poster boy of 'just do it'. Have a wonderful time with the little tackers this Chrissy. And take lots of pics as they unwrap their stuff on christmas morning.

Morning Happs and Undies still to arise,

I'm off to take Nigel out for an airing. I'll trolley him up to the coffee tent at the Farmers market where he can have a gibber with his adoring public whilst I purchase one lemon tree. And a sausage in bread.

It's going to be a hottie today.
