What do you want when you're with me in VA? I bet no one likes country ham. I grew up on it, love it to this day, and have survived to tell the tale. I still eat it on occasion.

What do we want in So Calif? Cheese enchiladas, fajitas, avocadoes...

Sounds like everyone had a positive day. I am a teacher so it was a somber return to the classroom with a meeting after school for a moment of silence and how we can help each other and our students. This is far reaching and will forever change our schools. I have been in several lock downs in the past but am afraid I will be much more concerned and scared for the future ones.

Another late night but only two more days for me until Christmas break. Better hit the hay! Hope everyone has a wonderful, AF Tuesday. Today was 2 weeks for me! Yahoo!

Morning!

Congratulations on the two weeks, CE. Keep it going, and don't let Christmas derail you.

We'd had numerous lock-down drills when I was teaching. I was the librarian, and I would often think about where I'd hide my kids. I'd go through various scenarios quite often--heavy tables turned on their sides, herd of them into the media room, work room, etc. My plans changed daily. After Columbine all classroom doors had to remain locked, and all windows on classroom doors were covered. Still are, I think.

Now I work in a public library, and I still think about it. I doubt if any of the other librarians do. They don't think the same way as teachers, who have charges to protect. Different mind set for them, but not for me. I've already formulated plans, as I watch the same weirdoes visit each day I work. Sad. (Maybe I shouldn't have put this on a public forum...?)

Better days ahead for all of us, I hope.

Hi Everyone!

I definitely want to get in on this road trip! And yes, all the food sounds good, pot roast, spaghetti, enchiladas....yeah I'm hungry too!

Hope you feel better Mama! My poor child was up puking on Saturday night...stomach flu...ugh! We used to play "teacher" when I was growing up too...and the only emergency we prepared for was earthquakes. It's sad what this world has come to.

I'm still waiting to hear about the other job...everyone keep everything crossed for me. Hopefully I'll hear something soon...although as long as I don't hear anything, there's still a chance!

OK...now if this isn't LOVE, I don't know what is. I am downgrading my smartphone to an old boring model so my daughter can get an iPhone and have the data package. Believe me, I made sure Boopie knows that NOBODY else in the world would do that for her...so she better kiss my butt for a while. LOL

I haven't seen Joaquin lately, is he in his fat/hairy phase or is he back to his hotness? After seeing his documentary, I was a little less than enamored of him. Although I think his weirdness is part of my attraction to him. LOL
