    "Phin: really? 6.2 pounds? what kind of scale do you have that goes to "0.2 " pounds to the exact .2? amazing."

    It's a Weight Watchers digital scale. I bought it at Costco, it was about $40CDN. Not bad.....

        new to being sober but vetrin to fitness and nutrition ( go figure)

        First of all congradulations everyone I just wanted to chime in help out if I could...try eating d small portions a day to boosed your metabolizim, you can replace your starchy carbs with quinoi, and sweet potato...and a great tip people don't know about weight loss is that you need efficent muscle mass to burn fat. So its alwats great to focus on toning your muscles then move on to cardio once that's done ( or do both at the same time). Be sure to drink loads of water, take your b complex to metabolize your fats and carbs, chromium is great for cutting cravings, if your a coffe lover switch to green tea...and make sure you eat some protien after you workout

        Just remember, if you cut back too much on your food intake your just going to slow your metabolism down.

            Decided: Thank you for the tips!!! I will look into those supps! I am right now just cutting calories but I do need to start exercising soon. So hard to get motivated and to stay active....

              Awesome, congrats all.
              I have been using my treadmill 5 times a week for general brisk walking and then 10 plus minutes of stretching type workout and feel sooo much better.
              Food intake is another one that is currently in work as making adjustments to not being on the road as regularly as in past.
              FT
              AF with a few speed bumps during 2014 & 2015 but will succeed.
              As of 4/12/2014 I have not smoked at all and feel great.

                            Hey Everyone, I am in too! I figured out last night that I was drinking 1270 calories a night in wine...BLAH! Disgusting right? So I am not huge but I am flabby and I don't like it. This is my turning leaf year as I am moving from youth into adulthood, so I want to be as healthy as possible so I can enjoy life as much as possible. So I quit alcohol, nicotine, and I started eating for my blood type (something to look in to! Its amazing!) meaning I am now a vegetarian. I also am taking the program to the T (and the advice from my naturopath and psychiatrist) and exercising at least 3x a week and taking the topomax. I started Aqua Zumba with my girlfriend and then soon a yoga class is starting as well. I have already lost five pounds since starting this journey but I think its partly circumstantial. I would like to lose 25 pounds. Count me in! I will weigh in with you all every week, it has been ingrained in my head to not weigh in daily because it can mess with your psyche. Bon Chance! Oh, and drink that water!

                              Ally, I am down a TOTAL of 9.5 not in addition to the 3 something.... I wish!!!! When that 10 is down, put me down for another 10, my friend!

                              I have no secrets. I am a bigger girl, so I think the more you have to lose, the faster it comes off. I am watching what I'm eating, no junk, minimal carbs, etc, and exercising. I'm on a role with my exercising and I've done 5 days in a row. I know I need to have a break sometimes, but I am afraid to put that pause in there..
