      Limers: lol about your spare tire! Did you get that scale yet!!! ??!!

      Phins: you lost weight so go show off to your friends! Get some compliments! Find some excuse to go out w them and wear a bikini in winter to show off your new figure!

      K9: don't buy candy any more!!!! Hey, can you give me # lb you want to lose? I'm also failing miserably on the exercising thing. The will is strong. Body is weak. But I'm wearing the wrist weights to work and when laying down as we discussed!!!! Have you tried that yet? I even tried putting ankle weights while laying down last night! Haha!

      Nelz: welcome! So do you want to lose 196 lb or are you 196 now? I'm assuming that is your current weight and what's your goal weight?

        LOL, Id be an embryo if I lost 196 pounds :H

        Im about 6' 1" so Im thinking Id like to get back down to 180"ish" I weighed 211 at my Doctor visit right about the time I quit. Seems like Im starting to head that way again.

        I know part of it is my "winter weight" because I become much more sedintary, especially with not doing physical work everyday.

        Im pretty excited about this, Ill check in daily

          Hi All, well, I will check out the gym but that doesn't mean I will go, LOL, I've joined other times and never been able to go because I felt so out of place, lots of beautiful thin young people and I felt conspicuous, hoping since I moved across the Bay there are some less beautiful people at the gym

            I weighed in this morning and im very happy, lost 4 lbs!!! Was 143lbs and now im 139. I really work in stones and in stones that is 9 st 13 lbs so im super delighted to weigh just under the ten stone mark, only 9 more lbs till target weight!! ALso im 10 days af , double digits woo hoo hoo hoo !!! Really feel like im getting somewhere , thank you for this thread!!

                Nelz: thanks for the link. That lady looks super fit. I started wearing soft wrist weights to work... They are great wrist rests for typing To prevent carpal tunnel !

                Limers: congrats on weight loss!

                How's everyone else out there doing? Haven't heard from some of you on the score board there....are we losing, hopefully?

                      Nelz, I lost 12 lbs in a month... Kind of hard to do... 15 lbs is a high mark... But w exercise I'll bet you can do it. I am incapable of committing to exercising....

                          Visited the Gym, OMG!

                          Only fit young people, they don't even need to be there:H:H

                          So, I've decided for now to buy a couple of work out DVDs, stretching and low impact aerobics, and since I never went to the gyms before, just paid, i'll try to motivate myself to do a short workout at home a few times a week to start.

                          I get plenty of walking as I don't have a car and rely on public transportation, I actually have a BMW, Bart, Muni, Walk, but I am noticing that just walking is not enough, I think it does burn calories, otherwise I would weigh even more, but my arms are not strong and my balance is getting a little off and I am getting more and more noticeably stiff all over.

                          So, this is my plan, I will buy the DVDs off Amazon (its the easiest way), get some handweights, and I hope by Monday I will start the workouts even without the DVDs yet.
                          I'm going to start posting a daily short post about my workout or not that day, #of drinks, weight loss or not, and in general how my mood is improving or not:H and I'm hoping that within a month or so I will start to see some progress.

                            YAY Pauly!!!!!! Good for you!

                            Good plan Play. I work at a gym and I see people joining now and I know damn well after the first week I will never see them again. The Biggest Loser DVD's are good. There's one called Bob's Boot Camp that I love. You can do itat your own pace, and there's always room to improve-just add weights. He's very encouraging, not like that 'other one'-Jillian Michaels.

                            I was feeling down this afternoon after work, and I had no intentions of going to the gym. I really just wanted a couple beers, but I don't know how, but I get got through it, and dragged my sorry cottage cheese a$$ to the gym. I had a great workout with one of my daughters. I feel pretty good having gone.

                                Playland, I love the 10 minute work out that is being offered out there, it has helped me. I am still on he 1st 10 minutes but it still gives me a pretty good sweat. I do it at home and it allows me to take it with me when I travel.
                                FT
                                AF with a few speed bumps during 2014 & 2015 but will succeed.
                                As of 4/12/2014 I have not smoked at all and feel great.
