OK...I've decided that today is the day to start to get back in shape. AND...so far so good! This morning I did the stair climber will my dogs ran on the treadmill next to me. That's a start! I'm still resisting the scales cause what I don't know won't hurt me?...lol

I'm so jealous that you guys have the energy to exercise! And Paula, 1 hr is amazing? How do you find the time? I guess I would find the time if I wanted... I choose to lay in bed to read.... Lol.
Seriously I am not joking, that even to pick up my clothes from the floor is exercise for me. That's why I wear weights on myself to make those moves extra strenuous to count! For a short while I did do wii just dance but I knew that would not last. I'm pretty lazy.

FINALLY got back to the gym yesterday......and what a shock!.....I could hardly do 1/3 of what I used to.....but it's a start. Went back again today, and could do a LITTLE bit more. Gotta get that scale to budge! I'm 15 days AF and I thought the weight would just fall off .....maybe soon!
I'm also eating a salad for lunch instead of a sandwich. Every little bit helps.

I have found that not drinking does nothing for my weight loss, very surprisingly.,.,, I always thought my alcohol was the cause of my weight gain...
However, others have lost a lot of weight since they stopped drinking.... Wish I was one of those people!
My weight gain is due to my inactivity which had worsened since I quit drinking. Maybe I should get a dog .... Sounds like those who have dogs are more active....Alcoholic (or Ally)

Based on iPhone app Lose It: for my age and my height. To lose 2 pounds a week, I can only eat 828 calories a day! The shrimp crab salad I just had for lunch was 600 calories! No wonder whenever I eat more than 1 meal I gain weight back! But who can eat just 800 calories a day?!Alcoholic (or Ally)

This is a thread I think would be a positive one for me (rather than one that only focuses on drinking). What do I do to join? I want to lose 15 lbs. Started working out with my neighbor girlfriend. She's a Jillian Michaels crazy person. Last night we did some Jillian butt video. LOL. It felt great.
I am incorporating lots of green leafy veggies into my diet. Salads with parsley, broccoli, lettuce, spinach, pine nuts, have to have croutons, but break them up into little pieces so there aren't that many. I'm using a low carb dressing I love by Paul Newman - Olive Oil and Vinegar. YUM.
Also eating brown rice crackers, and will start eating lots of whole foods like chicken, fish, sardines (yes, I do love them, and they help with moods!), beans and brown rice.
Using small plates.I will be sober so I can be clear and remember being a mommy and so I can be in the best place God wants to place me. I will be here! now! FREE! 12.5mg Topamax AM&PM, Ativan until safe from withdrawal syndrome & for anxiety. Thank God I Am Done!

uhg ally! 800 calories thats harder than quitting booze,totally depressing and it sux cuz exercise really doesnt burn that many calories,if you walk for 30 min briskly its only 250 to 300 maybe,so you eat one more thing than you should and your breaking even,its exhaustingI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

800 calories is NOT enough! You probably need about 1200. You will do it, don't you worry.
I gained a couple due to the weekend. Today I worked, up at 4:15am so I have to guiltily say, I am skipping the gym tonight. I am damn tired--no energy at all. I'll bounce back tomorrow! I got my haircut, maybe that will shed a couple, lol!!!!!

I do love veggies and fish... To lazy to cook them... But the lean cuisine microwaveable meals are great! Good portion size, delicious and no clean up! Quite economical too.
To think of it,800 calories : that is 3 lean cuisines a day. I guess I could do that.... My dad is visiting from Taiwan and I have to work, was thinking about how to feed him healthy foods when I'm at work, lean cuisine to the rescue!Alcoholic (or Ally)

Alcoholic, I have been to Taiwan numerous times and love the food there, I do NOT eat at the chain food places. I prefer the local places, good stuff esp downtown Taipei.
FTAF with a few speed bumps during 2014 & 2015 but will succeed.
As of 4/12/2014 I have not smoked at all and feel great.
