Aw zenners. Have you spoke to Molls about it? And when you say immediately, do you mean like - through Christmas - or would it be in the new year.
Ehm... As for a month of no lappie and phone. Reckon it's bearable. I think if i were in your position and committed to the kick, I'd do it. Send us the address and we can do daily print outs of the thread and post 'em to you! (or maybe they don't allow snail mail communication either?)
As for Hamish, that is harder. Is there NO ONE who could take care of the daily responsibilities of the house and bills? Where is Hamish with his treatment and health? Is it possible that he can be taken into an animal hospital or a good cattery for 4 weeks. Sorry - so many Q's.
If you can do it, my vote would be to crack the whip and get in there. It depends on your attitude with outpatient-ness. I was an 'outpatient' many years ago for something else, but I'm not sure whether it really dealt at all with what I was needing to deal with. But we are all different, and different situations.
I'd forget about the "prisoner" vs "freedom" concepts - instead look at your situation, what you want and what you need to get what you want. If it means 28days away from everyday life, so be it.
We're no going anywhere. And we're that noisy and rambunctious as an army, that you'd prolly hear us from inside anyways. :H
Sorry - just my thoughts, not sure if any help. I'd def' speak to Molls though :l
