I recently watched a tv programme about a very overweight young man. The progamme makers organised a life coach to help him control his eating patterns. What really impressed me was his motto.
"You are the master of your fate and carer of your soul"
I am desperately trying to stop drinking and some days I succeed. I now what to be AF

Dear Atox,
Hi,
That quote is "Iam the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
Invictus: 1875 by W.E. Henley.
I first saw that quote about 40 ytears ago. Carrtied it with me since then.
You may be interested to know that Henley was a cripple from boyhood, and Invictus was written whilst he was in hospital.
He is a good inspiration to us., as he refused to let his illness take over his whole mind and dwell on it and lose resistance and succumb. He regarded it as a bit of a battle.
ANother of his quotes is:
